It wasn’t so long ago that I took to the blog to share my obsession with occasionwear and dress brand Goddiva – as they have some of the most loveliest dresses.
I’m such a ‘dressy’ girl. If there’s any occasion coming up, I’ll try to find an excuse to wear a pretty special dress, whether dressed up with a blazer and heels, or paired down with sandals and a trench coat. You can take a look at some of the beautiful styles I first tried on from the brand over at my Goddiva blog post here, but I’m also sharing some other stunning dresses on this one, too!
The best thing I’ve found about this brand is that no matter what event you have coming up, there’s a section of dresses dedicated to it. Be it prom dresses, wedding guest dresses, bridesmaid inspired dresses or birthday night out styles, you pretty much have the most extensive range to browse, without the prices being extortionate or over-the-top.
I’ll start with my new favourite one, the High Collar Halter Neck Printed Dress, in a floaty blue floral style. It comes with a waist tie, and has the most lightweight, flowing skirt design with beautiful pastel printed florals. I do love a classy, ‘wow’ maxi dress which can be taken abroad on holidays to wear for those beachfront strolls and meals, and to double up as a pretty outfit for brunching and meeting friends here in the UK.
I’m just a little sad it’s getting cooler in the UK now which means I’ll have to pack it up ready for Spring 2021! It’s the luscious teal green colour that attracted me to it – so different to the usual grey, black, white and cream outfits I usually wear!
This dress in the above and below photos is a little different, as it’s more of what I call a tea dress, with cute sleeves and that swinging skirt. This is the floral print midi dress with flutter sleeves from Goddiva, which is what I would say falls in line with the perfect guest dresses guest dresses – for weddings, christenings, birthdays and beyond.
I find this a beautiful option for dressing up and down, as it’s a fun and flirty white floral midi dress style for putting a denim jacket over the top, and pairing with wedges. Or, it would equally work well with a stacking pair of heels and a luxury clutch bag for those lovely occasions where you are joining as a guest.
I’ve teamed it up here with some cream block heel sling backs, and would potentially wear my cropped denim jacket over the top. Unless I was attending a wedding of course, in which it would be white blazer, and baby pink stilettos!
I do love how their is a huge variety of styles to pick from at Goddiva. I’ve gone for a mix of bodycon, more fitted styles to looser, tea dress designs, and they also stock a large range of plus size dresses too.
Now I had to save this sparkly number until last, which I actually need to properly shoot when I have somewhere a little extra special to go. Can we just stop for a minute to appreciate just have lavish and extra ‘wow’ this dress is? I immediately saw this when searching Goddiva for cocktail dresses cocktail dresses, and it stood out as a super sparkly special number.
Now I have no idea just how fancy I’ll be getting dressed up when Christmas arrives – I’ll be 4 weeks away from my due date, and I’m still not sure what the lockdown measures will represent. However, I do know that if anything comes about where I can find the excuse to dress up and feel a bit extra special, this delicious Goddiva sequin number will be the first dress I pull out.
It comes with a pretty scalloped hem, and is called the ‘starburst midi dress’. It comes in a beautiful rosegold colour, and I love how it’s a shorter length yet comes with its long sheer sleeves. You know what they say – flash some leg, cover some arm. The party dress is adorned with champagne sequins and a starburst effect across the body. It will literally be the standout outfit for all of you looking for a stunning dress for those girly nights out, Christmas parties, celebration events and beyond.
Have you ever shopped at Goddiva? I regularly share their styles over on my Instagram account, so do have a little look if you need some more inspiration!
