The Most Beautiful Dresses From Goddiva

Hey guys, so I haven’t really done a personal update post on here for a while, but if you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen the news that I’m pregnant! I’ll be a first time Mum, which is both super exciting and super scary news. I’m going to start getting some diary style posts up on here which talk through each month, in terms of how I’m feeling, things I’ve learnt, things I’ve been buying… basically diary entries just for myself if anything, to look back on or be able to share if anyone needs any reference.

One thing I have noticed so far is that my body has changed quite quickly, and it’s been a strange yet satisfying feeling. I haven’t had that ‘glow up’ or that sudden boost of beauty though, that some people rave about. In fact, I haven’t really felt very glam or ‘wow’, until I had a delivery of absolutely stunning dresses from Goddiva!

I was thinking about how heavily pregnant I’ll be as the party season comes, and how it would be amazing to try some beautiful

Firstly, most of the dresses I’m wearing all perfectly fit into the evening dresses category, although some can double up as summer occasion dresses due to their floaty style and looser fittings.

This first one is an absolute classic, complete with little puff capped sleeves and a rather sexy split right up the side of the leg. I teamed this with some striking black stilettos and I felt very glamourous as soon as this was slipped on! It’s called the GODDIVA SCUBA CREPE MAXI DRESS WITH ORGANZA SLEEVE – BLACK and it’s actually only £45. I thought it would be a higher price point due to it’s timeless, elegant evening look, plus the quality feels great.

The little puff detail sleeves are made from a sheer organzer, which works well with the cute squared off neckline to the front and the back.

Next up is bringing a pop of bold, bright colour to my wardrobe. Although this dress is what I’d call the queen of all party dresses, because it would look incredible with a tan, sleek hair and cream heels, I definitely don’t feel like I have to wait for an evening event or party season occasion to wear this.

I feel like I could pop a blazer over this and wear it to a garden gathering or a little birthday event at someones home, and it would totally. be one of my first choices for going on holiday. It’s from the new Vicky Pattison range at Goddiva, and it’s called the VICKY PATTISON – ONE SHOULDER MIDI DRESS – ORANGE if you want to have a peek online. Again, it’s £45 feels a little unique with it’s fold over asymmetric neck line, which brings a gorgeous shape and fit to the bodycon dress.

I’m only 16 weeks pregnant at the moment, so my bump is still fairly small, but I love how this bodycon dress outlines the shape of my bump, without making me look like I’m a pregnant person squeezing myself into a tight dress and looking uncomfortable. The material is fairly thick, and although it’s bodycon it isn’t too clingy, so it kind of just shapes around my growing body shape.

I feel like I’ll be able to re-wear this dress a couple of times, perhaps until I get really big, and then I might start to resemble an oversized tangerine! But for now, I’m going to get as much wear out of it as possible for any gathering I can…

OK now this sage green dress is another one that I feel lends itself perfectly for the Summer season, yet also can be worn straight through to the Autumn/Winter due to it’s beautiful fresh shade. I found this one among the maxi dresses categories at Goddiva, when looking for a full length dress that not only skims my ankles, but is sheer, flowing and floaty.

I think it’s safe to say that this one definitley ticks all of those boxes!

This dress is the GODDIVA WRAP BACK MAXI WITH FRONT SLIT – SAGEGREEN – a goddess like dress that reminds me both of wedding day guests, and garden parties celebrating something special.

The fresh sage green colour is so lovely, yet for those who want something a little sexier, the chiffon style has a stunning wrap style design and front slit which gives it that extra edge. I personally love a long sleeve, in which I feel a lot of others will like the fact this has long sleeves which can be rolled up, and allows it to also double up as a flowing dress for the chiller months too. makes this a winning choice for ladies who like to show less skin than others, not to mention making it a winner for the chillier months. Plus, it has a cute removable chiffon belt, so you can decide whether you would like the dress pulled in at the waist or slightly looser…

And last but not least, potentially the most classy, timeless and striking dress of them all, the GODDIVA – LACE HIGH LOW MAXI DRESS – BLACK which I found while browsing the sequin dresses section.

Now this one is rather spectacular – it’s heavy lace detail is adorned with sequins and little short off-shoulder sleeves, before finishing off with a fabulous fishtail.

It’s a versatile style, as I would pair with a blazer and a block heel for a more sensible look, yet pop on the stilettos and glitzy clutch bag with bare arms for a more ‘fancy’ occasion. I’d like to call this dress a modern day cocktail dress, as it’s high low mermaid hem and short scalloped hem sleeves give that elegant vibe. Plus, the fitting is slightly bodycon, although it does allow a little room around the bust and the waist.

If you’re happy wearing black to a wedding, it’s a beautiful wedding guest dress to!
