As most of you know, I’m always stressing about my skin. I had acne as a teenager and it just never left.
Throughout my early twenties, it become controlled due to contraceptive pills such as Dianette and Yasmin. But although they gave me a clear complexion, the health risks were just so high that various doctors had to practically ween me off the pills, like an addiction.
Because I guess it is an addiction, when you know that coming off something is going to result in a worse feeling. Sadly, that’s what happened. When I was in my mid-late twenties, my acne flared back up again, and this time, the new outbreaks scarred easily because they were forming on top of already affected scar tissue.
My skin took a while to settle slightly, and at 33 years old, I’d now say I suffer from mild acne – various breakouts on the jaw and cheeks. They don’t come in clusters anymore, just little spots that don’t budge for weeks on end, leaving unsightly red marks which then join the rest of what seems to be permanent pigmentation.
Since battling with my skin for most of my life, I’ve always been keen on exploring skincare innovations and launches which actually do what they say. I know there is no acne ‘cure’ for me, as it’s a hormonal issue. But I do know that there are formulations which can help all my scarring, dull skin, pigmentation and marks from over the years.
I also know that having a healthy, fresh and glowing complexion is a great way to discourage acne from sticking around.
The most recent skincare brand I’ve been trying out over the past two months is called Skin Euphoria. I always like to try out skincare products for a minimum of 8 weeks before reviewing them on here, so I can give an honest view.
Firstly, Skin Euphoria has been founded by CEO Emma Osman, a professional permanent makeup artist who also delivers highly effective treatments using products formulated for all skin types.
I loved the back story of Emma becoming obsessed with creating skincare products that actually work. For someone with problem skin, I know the frustration of just wanting to find products which make a different.
Skin Euphoria London uses all dermatologically tested ingredients, with bespoke blends to encourage the production of collagen and elastin. When I read up about this before using the products, I was instantly intrigued. Collagen stimulation is something I always look for in my products, and if you read my blog regularly or follow me on Instagram, you’ll see I constantly get excited when I discover a good quality collagen enhancing product.
Emma created Skin Euphoria so that people who want to achieve even, smooth looking skin, as well as treating sun damage and hyperpigmentation, can have a brighter, more supple and vibrant complexion (without using parabens or fragrance).
As you all know, I’m the queen on pigmentation, sun damage, breakouts and acne marks. So lets see how Skin Euphoria products worked on myself…
C20 Booster Vitamin C B E & Ferulic Acid 30ml £24.99
Before I go onto this product, I just wanted to highlight how much it reminds me of a UK success version of the Skinceuticals C E Ferulic. I used to use this a while ago and was always impressed, however it’s fairly expensive. The reason it’s so popular and much loved is due to it’s potent amount of Vitamin C, acting as an antioxidant to fight skin damage.
It looks like Skin Euphoria has created it’s own hero version, working similar and also a little differently, making it rather unique.
In my eyes, this is a treatment and prevention product, packed with Vitamin C (also known as L-Absorbic acid, which I love to use as it’s brilliant for brightening the appearance of hyperpigmentation and effectively defending oxidative stress)
I have been using this product either on it’s own or before my moisturiser step, letting it work on my heavily pigmented skin and brightening up my dull complexion. My skin naturally has quite a slow cell turnover process, therefore my skin seems to hold onto it’s dullness unless I really push it with chemical peels.
The main thing I want to stress is the results I noticed when on hoilday. Usually, all it takes is one day in the sun and my brown patches of sun damage come out straight away. I was using this for 8 weeks before going to Ibiza for 4 days, in which I noticed that on day 2, my pigmentation wasn’t half as visible as it usually would be.
It could be down to the fact that the pigmentation was being treated by the C20 Booster on the run up to my trip, or, the product was preventing the damage from showing when in contact with the sun. Either way, it was definitely less visible which made me so happy!
I’ll be using this as a treatment and prevention product as mentioned above, as it also assists with firming the skin and creating a barrier to protect it from effects of oxidative stress and free radicals
There are actually two other ingredients that caught my eye which I’ve had positive results from before: Vitamin B3 Niacinamide (shrinking large pores and strengthening the skin) and Ferulic Acid (stabilising Vitamin C to neutralize free radicals which could cause premature aging). Oh, and also Hyaluronic acid, which is my favourite for hydration!
I’m super happy to be using this under my makeup/moisturiser, knowing it’s working on brightening my skin with it’s effective amount of Vitamin C. Plus, it’s a protective product all round which seems to be doing a very good job of keeping my pigmentation under control!

The next one I have been trying out is a fabulous product for those worried about premature aging, or treating current fine lines and wrinkles:
EGF Lifting Contour Serum £24.99
Now I know I talked about Skinceuticals earlier in this piece, but this product reminded me of SkinMedica. I haven’t seen or been exposed to a brand who effectively use growth factors since using SkinMedica years ago. As it’s a US brand, I never continued to use it with being in the UK. But now I’ve been trying this contour serum and I’ve overly excitied that it takes on the growth factor ingredients to make up a highly concentrated super rich plasma serum.
With this serum, I use it around my eye area mainly, and then dab a little on my cheeks and neck, massaging it in.
If you’re not familiar with growth factors, when infused into skincare these help to stimulate your own skin and stem cells, encouraging them to produce more collagen, elastin and connective tissue. This is why growth factors help with the reduction of fine lines, skin thickness and the rejuvenation of the skin.
I’ve decided to share the below directly from the Skin Euphoria website, which shows you what each growth factor is responsible for:
- Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF) – promotes regeneration
- Insulin-like Growth Factor (IGF-1) – supports anti-wrinkle
- Acidic Fibroblast Growth Factor (AFGF) – helps firm skin
- Basic Fibroblast Growth Factor (BFGF) – increase elasticity
- Vaso-Endothelial Growth Factor (VEGF) – provides nutrition
I’ve got to say, after using this for 8 weeks, I’ve noticed a significant reduction in my acne. Now this product isn’t targeted to acne, but it expedites the skin’s healing process, so perhaps the speediness of the healing properties have helped to reduce my acne break outs?
It was the reduction in spots and redness, followed by a more contoured, lifted eye area that I noticed first with this serum. Plus, the texture is extremely silky and fast absorbing, making it lovely to use morning and night.
I know I can’t say for sure if this product is the one to thank for the acne reduction, but I really feel like it must be. And at the same time, I’m enjoying having lighter, more lifted eye contours!

And last but not least…
Resveratrol Multi Peptide Lifting and Firming Cream £25.99
This is a cream which is suited for so many people with all different types of skin types. Overall, the aim of this luxurious cream is to rejuvenate the skin, as well as increasing smoothness, brightness and reducing wrinkles, thanks to the resveratrol and multi peptides.
Used morning and night, it aims to give a more youthful, radiant and relaxed complexion. Again, it’s also great for those with pigmentation and uneven skin tone, due to the magic ingredient of Resveratrol (a compound known for its skin lightening and anti-oxidant benefits).
If you don’t know much about peptides, these are infused into skincare to relax the muscles, softening lines and wrinkles in a lighter way than botox does, but with similar effect.
I’ve been using this as the final step within my facial routine, morning and night. I have to say of all three, its the most enjoyable one to apply, as it’s texture is thick and creamy, yet sinks into the skin effortlessly.
Once this sinks in, makeup is a dream to apply. It kind of doubles up as a primer for me, as my foundation just glides on all plump and settled.
I feel like this is the one to use for the most instant effects. I noticed only after a week that my little lines looked less harsh, and my overall complexion looked fresher and softer. Perhaps it’s the combination of this and the C20 Booster that’s really working on my pigmentation…

Either way, I’m genuinely happy with these products. They completely rival those huge dermatology developed brands that dominate the US professional skincare market, and I’m overjoyed to see this brand born from London.
A must have brand to try!
