I’m not usually someone who wears bright colours – you’ll usually find me in muted shades or classic tones. Black, navy, grey and cream are my ultimate favourites, but let’s face it: when it’s Summer, you can feel a little dull.
I recently picked out this lemon yellow dress from Little Mistress to style up this week, just before the storms arrived! It’s a step away from what I usually wear in terms of colour palette and maybe even styling (I’ve been leaning towards midi dresses lately, but I just really loved the slight flare and loose shape of this one.)

Here, I’ve teamed it up with some cream block heels and bare legs for a bit of a girly, Summer day outing look. You can make it look a little more urban and dressed down with a cropped denim jacket thrown over, a rucksack and a pair of converse style pumps, too.
I’m about to say it would be perfect for going on holiday, however the only holiday break I’ll be going on this year is a cheeky little Air b&b trip somewhere in the UK when I feel it’s a little safer to do so! Even so, if we get lucky with some British sunshine, that’s all I need!
I’m also a bit obsessed with this floaty white dress from Little Mistress too which I spotted on their site. Again, it’s me going back to my original colour palette, but I think it’s going to have to go in my shopping basket!
