OK so it’s actually a little bit of a rareity that you’ll see me wearing such bold colours. However, with the tough times were all going through right now, I decided to add a striking pop of colour to my work from home Friday – in the form of cobalt blue!
Before anyone feels shocked that I’m not currently wearing sweat pants and an oversized hoodie to work from home – let me explain! I had a video call with one of my agencies and I thought… what the hell… today I’m choosing to put a full face of makeup on and dress up in a statement colour to try and motivate myself.
I mean, no one wants to see me in my loungewear everyday when taking to Zoom video channels and Instagram stories!
Here, I’m wearing the Tara Shirt Dress from Estelle London, and it’s literally made me feel rather powerful on this sunshiney Friday, working from my home office.
Don’t be fooled: I might have worn ankle boots with a stacking heel for these photos, but I can assure you I kicked off the heels once the camera was down! I like to dress up, but c’mon, slippers all the way when at home!
This gorgeous shirt dress features feminine chiffon sleeves with a little puff arm, and as the Estelle London website quotes, a ‘sassy dipped hem’. I can see myself teaming this up with tights and black high heel boots with a blazer during the Spring or Autumn, and wearing bare legged in the Summer (with the sleeves rolled up).
To add a bit of interest, this dress is adorned with unique metal buttons and collar tips which add some edgy detailing. You could actually pinch in the waist with a slimline, delicate waist belt. I think I might try this when I next near it!
It’s also a quality item, made from 65% Cotton, so it’s super breathable, too.
I’ve only just recently come across Estelle London, so thought I would share this dress with you all in case you’re a lover of premium fashion (prices are more towards the luxury end due to quality and design).
I’ve already spied a stylish, rather fabulous green dress on their site too! Oh gosh – could this brand be turning my head towards wearing bold colours again? Interesting…
