The Most Instagrammable Tropical Retreats

There’s nothing more relaxing than taking a tropical vacation to get away from the everyday hustle and bustle. We spend so much time stressing over work and life, it’s great to take the opportunity to just enjoy ourselves. Of course, when you take a trip to the islands you have to make sure to capture some digital memories and post them on Instagram.

Here are some of the best tropical vacation spots to enjoy which are guaranteed to make your friends envious.

The Bahamas

Far from being a destination with only sand and tropical drinks to offer, you’ll find that the Bahamas will keep you entertained from dusk till dawn. After a day of fun in the sun, you can venture into the city and enjoy the busy nightlife, several world-class restaurants, and loads in the way of music and entertainment.

Of course, the true draw to the Bahamas is the picturesque white sand beaches. Popular spots like Coco Plum Beach provide a great location to work on your tan and wade around in the water looking for seashells, whereas places like Gold Rock Beach have crystal clear water that allows you to see straight through to the bottom in the shallow sections.

When you’ve had your fill of beaches, you can visit the many caves and waterfalls around the Bahamas instead. The locals are friendly, the food is excellent and you’ll be sure to take lots of great pictures to remember your trip by.

Fiji is home to over 300 islands that are certain to provide a memorable getaway. The beaches here are pristine and will leave you blissfully relaxed. One of the most famous is Sunset Beach on Mana Island which, like its name implies, is one of the best places to be as the sun is setting over the horizon. Paradise Beach has a chilled atmosphere with hammocks, sun beds, and lounge chairs for guests, making it the perfect place to soak up some sun.

For visitors that are adventurous and would like to do more than lay on the beach, you should know that Fiji is considered the “Soft Coral Capital of the World.” Here, the Great Astrolabe Reef is a major tourist draw as people will travel to this beautiful area to go snorkeling and see the wondrous rainbow coral and tropical marine life. Centered around Kadavu Island, the Great Astrolabe Reef is one of the largest barrier reefs in the world. Fiji has a lot to offer visitors, and it is worth coming here to experience it for yourself.

Koh Samui, Thailand

In southeast Asia, Thailand has a reputation for being one of the most gorgeous tropical destinations you will ever see. Of course, this isn’t just my opinion – it’s also well known in Hollywood as the ideal location for blockbuster films. Locations like Phuket, Krabi and Koh Samui have hosted numerous film crews over the years. Classics like The Man With The Golden Gun, Shutter Island, and The Beach have all been filmed partly amongst these lush green islands. With the most picturesque environment you will ever see, Thailand is easily one of the most Instagrammable places in Asia.

After you are done taking in the incredible landscape, you’ll see that Koh Samui has many attractions and events for the thousands of tourists that venture here annually. There are ancient temples to explore, exotic types of wildlife to watch, and amazing food that is like nothing you’ve ever tried before.

When the sun sets, that’s when the real entertainment begins. Beach parties here are legendary, complete with fire dancers, professional DJs, bonfires, and plenty of potential new friends. There are many reasons Thailand is one of the most visited countries in the world and you need to experience it for yourself to discover even half of them.

Goa, India

When travellers think of tropical destinations and pristine beaches, India isn’t exactly the first place that come to mind. Other destinations on this list may be more well known, but Goa is a truly special beach experience that cannot be overlooked. Being part of India, it comes with a certain type of cultural atmosphere that makes it one of a kind. Where else in the world can you see dolphins, spice plantations, and historic churches all in the same place?

In the city, commonly referred to as Old Goa, there are centuries old buildings that are worth exploring. Museums, churches, art galleries, and even bakeries come together in this magical location to make up a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It’s even been called the Rome of the East

While you are here, you have to enjoy the main draw to this tropical land: the beaches. Boga Beach is one of the most popular areas, and here you will find many other travelers enjoying the waves. Traders line the beach to bring you fresh fruit, delicious juices and cold water. If you need a break from the sun, there are many lunch shacks around that provide great meal options and a chance to escape the heat.

For wildlife, mesmerising beach vistas, soaring architecture and amazing weather, Goa is a destination unlike any other you have experienced and perfect for taking a wide array of pictures for the ‘gram.
