Spring Inspiration

I know I am always going on about how “Spring is here” and Summer is kind of around the corner, but there are so many pretty clothes in the stores that it’s impossible to not go on about it! So I’m ignoring the fact that I found myself de-icing my car, scraper in hand, at 7:45 this morning, and will be proudly concentrating on building up my new Summer wardrobe.

Good news to all those who loved last years Nude colour palette – it’s back again for Spring Summer 2011. Give it a fresh twist by adding dashes of contrasting colours, think coral accessories and floral wedges. Take a look at my personal picks amongst the High Street…

My High Street favorites this season are (and these are always the usuals..) Topshop, H&M, French Connection, Jon Richard Jewellery and River Island. They have all got a stunning range of Summer classics, featuring beautiful rusts, tans, nudes and beige’s. It’s looking like a real grown-up colour palette this year!

However, for all of you shoppers out there who have tried to conform to the ‘Nudes and Beige’ colour theme, and can’t help but feel you are much more of a bright colour lady, then fear not- there is a new colour trend approaching! According to Pantone, the next big colours for this Spring/Summer 2011 is Blue Curacao and Lavender. Not too sure if I’d advise you wear these shades together (Yes please don’t) but if you want to be ahead of the style stakes, I’d suggest keeping an eye out for these key colours now! This scrumptious shade of blue will look amazing on any tropical holidays you lucky ones may have planned!

The lavender Topshop dress is so divine, even if it does have a slightly OTT price tag!
