NARS Tinted Glow Booster Review

Last year, I finally started introducing NARS to my makeup kit, both for my own personal use makeup and for my bridal makeup. I’m a bridal makeup artist in Cheshire and Staffordshire alongside running the Powder Room brand blog and social media, so it’s fair to say that reviewing new launches is one of my favourite parts of the job.

As we’re still in January, I was super excited to discover the brand new limited edition NARS Tinted Glow Booster for 2020. I thought I would give it a little write up on here and show you what it looks like alongside my favourite NARS creamy radiant concealer, and the lightest touch of the NARS Natural Radiant Foundation.

First up, lets explore what the NARS Tinted Glow Booster is all about.

What is NARS Tinted Glow Booster?

A fabulous launch for those who don’t need to rely on full coverage foundations or even heavier BB creams, this product has been formulated to enhance your natural glow, whilst working to blur and touch up imperfections. It also doubles up as a primer for your skin, giving the benefit of extra long makeup wear.

It’s a bit of an all-rounder with a lot going on! If you are lucky enough to have clear, ‘normal’ skin, I would recommend using it alone on those days where you just need a subtle glow and to look a little more awake and fresh.

For those who have more troubled skin – like myself- it’s amazing to use under makeup. Or, if you are somewhere in the middle, you can even mix a drop or two with a BB cream or lighter foundation. You can even add it to your finished makeup look as a highlighter.

It’s definitely a product anyone can use, and after wearing it myself, I know people are going to love this because it can be adapted perfectly to personal preference.

I have the shade Light – KALVOYA Tinted Glow Booster, and I found that it pretty much does what it says on the label, so to speak. The limited-edition customisable complexion enhancer really is exactly that: it smooths the skin’s appearance, it subtly blurs imperfections and enhances the skin’s natural overall glow. It’s skin-tone coloured pearls help brighten and illuminate, so you can apply alone, use as a primer, or mix with foundation.

Literally up to you!

I wish I was one of those who could wear it alone, as I’m currenyly having the worst acne breakout ever at the moment. I’ve introduced dairy back into my diet and am eating more sugar, so my skin is not quite so wonderful at the moment.

However, the Glow Booster delivers immediate and lasting hydration using the NARS exclusive Jojoba Hydraglow Complex (a dynamic combination of Jojoba Elixir and Jojoba Gel), so it’s not a drying product in the slightest.

I’ve been wearing it over my moisturiser, then applying NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer on top, finished off with one pump of the NARS Longwear Radiant Foundation. So on my photos, you can see exactly what it looks like. I’ve also added a sweep on bronzer to contour, because I literally can’t skip this step! Round face problems…

I’m enjoying using it, but it depends exactly how you like to wear a product like this. I’d say the NARS Glow Booster is more of a thicker consistency, yet it melts into the skin effortlessly, absorbing pretty fast and giving instant blurring and perfecting results. The glow is so fresh and lovely too!

Personally I love a good creamy texture, especially when blending with foundation or concealer.
