Murad Prebiotic Duo Review: 4-in-1 MultiCleanser and 3-in-1 MultiMist

Seeing as I’ve just recently raved about Murad and their Peel Good Bar based in INTU Trafford Selfridges’s (full review here), I decided it’s a good time to put a product review together too!

This time, it’s for an impressive duo of Murad products from the new Prebiotic range. I was kindly sent the Murad Hydration Prebiotic 4-in-1 MultiCleanser and the 3-in-1 MultiMist to use together, and see how I found them.

You all know by now I’m a skincare fanatic, and from my recent Murad reviews, I’m already a firm fan. However, these products look strikingly different from the usual ranges I’ve used before. Not only do they come in a sleek purple slimline packaging, they also work around preventing stripping away good bacteria.

It’s a handy approach to skincare for me of all people, who have spent years scrubbing away at my skin with harsh chemicals back in my severe acne days.

Prebiotic 4-in-1 MultiCleanser £38

As a heavy makeup wearer, I knew I would love this product when I saw ‘multicleanser’ in the title. It’s a rich gel-to-oil formula, designed at tackling the stress of makeup-removing to give your skin a deep cleans. The cleanser aims to nourish the skin with prebiotics to balance the skin’s microbiome for healthier-looking skin.

As it states it is 4-in-1, some people can often worry it’s packed with lots of harsh ingredients so it can multitask better, but this really isn’t the case. As well as being paraben, sulphates and alcohol free, it has a non-drying formula which works to provide intense moisturisation while it melts away makeup, dirt and excess oil.

I have to say I love the texture and feel of this, as the gel melts into a silky oil, bringing clogged up makeup right out of my pores. After researching this cleanser, I found out that in infuses moisture up to 15 layers into skin’s surface – which is pretty impressive!

It certainly does leave the skin feeling soft and hydrated, with no dried out spots or that tight feeling. I do admit I still use Micellar Water to remove my makeup as a ‘first step’ before I use this cleanser, just because I’m a beloved fan of Micellar Water and I can’t yet give it up. This being said, I don’t feel the need to use a toner afterwards to remove any last traces. I’m pretty damn sure this cleanser takes it allllll off as I’m left with squeaky clean, calm looking skin after every use.

I have oily skin with dehydrated patches, and it works a treat for my skin! You can shop this product here.

Murad Prebiotic 3-in-1 MultiMist £30

So I love a good mist, mainly because they are just too easy to use. You just close your eyes and spitz directly onto the skin, which is perfect for those days I work from home and wear no make up.

This Prebiotic 3-in-1 MultiMish is a peptide-rich, hydrating mist that works to replenish the complexion with prebiotics to balance skin’s microbiome. Again, I always research into the product before I go ahead all willy-nilly and use it to my hearts content incase there’s anything extra I should know. With this one, its 3-in-1 formula features hydrating sugars to moisturise and refresh the skin, while a yeast peptide helps lock in hydration. So it really leans itself to the more natural skincare ingredient list, and performs a multitude of tasks, from hydrating and moisturising, to refreshing and acting as an instant pick-me-up.

It also has another use: it’s multi-tasking biopolymer complex primes the skin, so you can use it instead of a primer, and it also sets makeup. So it’s actually an essential for makeup too!

I’ve been using this on top of my moisturiser, or sometimes instead of on the days I haven’t been going outside. I’ve used it a couple of times to set my makeup and so far, so good! The key is to make sure you hold it a good arms length away from the face so it’s the light mist that sets the makeup. Any closer and you’ll risk water droplets landing directly on top of foundation, which isn’t ideal!

A lovely mist, ideal for all skin types and free from all your parabens, sulfates, phthalates, alcohol and dyes etc. A lovely product for makeup artists as it can easily double up for prepping and priming the skin, as well as setting it afterwards!
