Fashion: What To Wear For a Music Event

I have some exciting news! On Thursday, I’m heading to the Manchester Arena to attend Key 103 Live – a music event put together and hosted by my favourite Manchester radio station Key 103 to showcase all the latest, hottest acts!

I love nothing more than a good old mixed music concert. I mean, I like a personal gig too where you head over to watch the one artist or band, but when you go to a music event where there is an eclectic mix of bands and artists, it just seems more fun. You literally get all the biggest hits played by all the best stars, fitting all the talent in in one evening.

So the question on your lips is bound to be this one: who exactly is performing? I’ve listed them below, and then I’ll go into which one I literally CANNOT WAIT to see perform!

Key 103 Live 2017

Rita Ora

John Newman

Louisa Johnson

James Arthur

Zara Larsson

Louis Tomlinson

Last year saw Robbie Williams, Busted, Louisa Johnson, Sigma, Sigala, The Vamps, Blossoms, Jonas Blue and JP Cooper perform to a packed out arena. This year, in my option, proves to be even better. So in true fashion blogger style, I thought I’d put together a post of what I’m thinking about wearing to this particular Key 103 Live concert, and some styling tips for a night in Manchester post-concert!

Because I’ll be coming straight from work with no time to change, I’ve put three options together: the top one contains a smart work shirt and skinny black jeans. The second is baring a little leg, with a frill detail blouse and skirt, which I’ll opt for if I decide to venture out post-concert. The third works together the frill top from before, paired with split detail trousers, which when paired with heels, is super dressy but extremely classy!

For me, I’ll be heading out to one of my favourite Manchester restaurants before the concert for a bit of pre-music event food and drink. The best places I can recommend is to check out the Corn Exchange – it’s so close to Manchester Arena, and it’s a gorgeous building packed with restaurants, bars and eateries for any cuisine preferences.

My favourites are Vapiano (freshly made Italian food, you can see my blog review here) and Mowgli (a small plate Indian eatery). But there is also The Cosy Club in case you wanted more of a pre-drinks get together before.

You can purchase your tickets for the event here, or why not surprise your BFF as a little pre-Christmas gift? The line-up is so diverse, there is literally an act for everyone. My ultimate favourites are Rita Ora and James Arthur, I’ve been a fan of James Arthur ever since his X Factor days, and Rita Ora…. Well she’s literally just the best in my opinion and I can’t wait to see her perform!
