Fashion: Olivia Burton at Argento Trafford Centre

Last week, I headed to Manchester’s Intu Trafford Centre to indulge in a day of shopping, but more importantly, to check out a certain jewellery store I’ve been meaning to explore for a while.

Argento opened up at Intu Trafford Centre last year, and is home to some of the most stunning jewellery and watch brands. One in particular is Olivia Burton, the brand of the watch I’ve currently been wearing for the past few years. The watch is beautiful – a brown leather strap with a white face and rose gold detailing.

However, it’s about 3 years old, and with all my removing it, putting it back on, removing it, putting it back on (and not to mention washing up and not removing it), it’s looking knackered to put it politely.

So, it was time to check out what new Olivia Burton collections the Intu Trafford Centre Argento store had to offer, along with other gorgeous jewellery and watch collections. They retail an extensive range, including Cluse, Daniel Wellington, Lily & Rose, Ania Haie, Karma and Storie – just to name a few.

Here I am below, popping up on the Argento store’s Instagram page, with my new Olivia Burton item tucked away in the bag. So what is my new watch like? Well, before I share, lets take a little look around the store and at the stunning displays of delicate, timeless jewellery…

Argento have their own range of jewellery too, which I wasn’t too familiar with. From having a good old browse around the store, it looks as though the specialise with dainty pendant necklaces, earrings and bracelets, in a range of gold, silver and rose gold.

Super pretty…

The chunkier, more trend-led and high fashion pieces at Karma were also a highlight for me during my visit. The collections of quirky charm bracelets which mix up rope, chain, crystal and pendants look fantastic – so stylish and pretty.

I love the way those sweet little charm bracelets have evolved, and you can get some really lovely versions now with either thick, chunky straps, or fine, intricate detailing ones. There’s so much choice these days…

As you can see so far from my photos, the Argento store is modern, fresh and bright, with a beautiful array of glass cabinets situated around the store unit, showcasing all the latest styles. The store itself has a real Scandi feel – you know the whole chic and minimalist look?

Definitely Instagram-able in my opinion. It features a new design concept, based on a dark grey and yellow colour scheme, and with pops of neon lighting to create an exciting shopping environment.

So lets take a look at the brand I was super excited to check out: no other than Olivia Burton. The new store actually offers an exclusive Olivia Burton watch too, which is the beauuuutiful piece I’m about to show you.

As you can tell, the Intu Trafford Centre Argento store boasts a wide range of gorgeous Olivia Burton collections. It’s such a pretty brand, combining vintage inspirations with catwalk trends to offer the most stylish, yet versatile pieces.

I find the watches incredibly wearable, as they mix it up in regards to metal/chain, mesh or leather strap pieces. Each one is intricately designed, and adorned with either floral or nature references. They retail at the higher end of the pricing mark, yet sit more affordable than some luxury designer brands.

In a nutshell, you can own a premium looking Olivia Burton watch starting from around £85. The more intricate designs which take on leather, rose gold, bejewelled features etc, can go up to around £200.

And this is the one I have proudly taken away with me… the Olivia Burton Argento Exclusive Abstract Floral Watch. How stunning is this design?

I always prefer a leather strap watch, and this one is feminine with an elegant design. With it’s fresh colour palette of pastels, it is the perfect addition to my new  S/S wardrobe. It features an intricate floral design on the dial, with a Rose Gold plated case and Japanese Quartz movement.

If you love both timeless and trend-led jewellery, you’re sure to find pretty much everything you could need at Argento. It’s so refreshing to browse around a stylish jewellery store over looking online – I spend so much of my time doing online shopping, and missing out on trying actual pieces on and seeing them in ‘real life’ for size and detail.

More so, I’d recommend visiting the Argento store for it’s extensive Olivia Burton range, because trust me, they have loads of items.

It’s actually a fabulous store to check out for those all important gifts. It’s my boyfriends Mum’s 60th coming up this weekend, and I’m thinking of heading back to the store to get her a lovely keepsake watch.

You can find the Argento store at Intu Trafford Centre, Manchester, on the first floor facing Selfridges.
