Fashion: Ladies Day at the Grand National 5th April

Races season has officially begun! As soon as the end of March arrives, girls everywhere get excited for the most style savvy events of the year, in particular, Ladies Day at the Grand National! I have attended a number of times over the years, with one year being lucky enough to be interviewed by Tony Livesely on BBC North West Today & Tonight about my fashion views.

When it comes to planning what to wear for the event, it can be a difficult task! There are always so many well dress ladies at the races, so it can be stressful picking an outfit to really give you the wow factor! My advice is to usually opt for a dress – it’s a dressy affair and a gorgeous, flattering dress is usually the standard dress code for the girls. Fascinators are also a lovely acessory to invest in to give your hair that added glamorous touch, and of course, statement jewellery! And did I mention a pretty clutch bag, and some staggering heels?…. Maybe it’s best to show you some of my favourite looks, and the look I have created myself for what I would recommend someone where!

If I was to go to the Grand National this year, I would wear the following outfit I have put together using a new dress from French Connection, a clutch bag from Next, Shoes from Shoedazzle and earrings from Mood by Jon Richard!

For all of you reading this who would love to be attending the Grand National this year, Friday 5th April, you will be pleased to know that Ladbrokes are giving away two tickets to attend, plus £150 towards an outfit! All you have to do is use your creative fashion mind and put together your ideal outfit for what you would wear to Ladies Day! Show the judges your style, and if you win, you can create the look in real life when you attend! To be in for a chance of winning, head over to the website here.
