Fashion: House of Fraser Affordable Fashion

One of the worst- but also best- things about the location of my work in Manchester City Center is that I’m based right next to a House of Fraser department store. So when I decide to ‘pop out’ for a casual stroll making the most of the hour I can have, I usually find myself drawn to the store, buying little fashion and beauty essentials more often than I need to.

But just how good is House of Fraser? I love the place- it has always been my favourite department store as it is home to all my favourite brands, and I know I can visit them and purchase an outfit, make-up, shoes, homewear, fragrance, gifts… pretty much everything all at once. The Manchester store also has the most amazing San Carlo Chichetti restaurant inside too, so I really can spend all day in the place and treat it more like a day outing!

Due to the extensive brands, some people may assume it’s a premium department store, with designer names and high prices. But it’s actually really affordable when you divulge into the store a little deeper. Take a look at my newest, super cheap purchase…

As the weather is easing up slightly, I opted for an on-trend funnel neck coat with button detailing from Mango, in a lovely deep navy colour. It should have cost £60, but was majorly reduced at £25 and is a lovely, snuggly coat for seeing me through the transition between Winter and Spring. The do have some lovely jackets and coats in at present, you can take a look at them here on the website if you are looking for a new style perhaps for the new season. My post yesterday about the high neck and co-ordinates trend saw me sharing my love for a high neck feature, therefore this coat is the perfect style for me…

House of Fraser often has really useful sales and offers where you can regularly purchase outfits for half the price. As they are home to such a diverse range of brands, you can sometimes find a real bargain due their constant discounts, that you may not be able to get your hands on if you visited the brand direct. I know that this amazingly priced Mango coat has absolutely flew off the shelves – so see what affordable finds you can get your hands on!

House of Fraser stores obviously aren’t in every city, therefore the online store is just as much an enjoyable shopping experience. Whether it is beauty, fashion, children’s, homewear, gifts, fragrance, accessories, lingerie or food you need, House of Fraser online is always worth checking out.
