Last week, I headed to Manchester’s SAKURA bar on Deansgate Locks for the event held by fashion brand Glamorous and Manchester magazine Style etc. The event was to celebrate the lovely new Summer collection at Glamorous, and to showcase a preview of what’s up-and-coming for Autumn/Winter 2013. In true Summer style, the current SS13 collection featured an eclectic mix of acid brights, bodycon dresses, embroidery denim and cute crop tops, in which crowds of North West based fashion bloggers gathered round, admiring and taking photos…
I can just see all these bold brights on the isle of Ibiza this Summer! However, as much as I love a bit of colour, some of the more casual, dark shades for Autumn Winter are much more ‘Emma style’ …
As well as browsing the rails of the event, bloggers and press got to read the latest copy of magazine Style etc, sip a selection of cocktails including Bellini’s and Kir Royales, be treated to a luxury nail polish and make over, have a completely different hair style, and chat to all the ladies from the Glamorous brand! It was a lovely event to talk fashion and beauty whilst indulging in a spot of fashion magazine reading…
We were also joined by celebrities Tulisa and Chelsea Healey, who both browsed the new collections from Glamorous and had their photo’s taken during the event. We all snacked on sushi, and got to take away a lovely goody bag filled with treats from Glamorous such as a chunky knit jumper, some super cool ear phones from Bass Buds (mine are metallic pink, perfect for the gym!) skincare vouchers, a Printworks offers card, just to name a few! All in all, a fun and fashionable night…
