Beauty: Nip & Fab Glycolic Fix

Today’s beauty themed post is to share with you a little review on skincare brand Nip & Fab. They have just launched a new product, the Glycolic Instant Fix Mask, which aims to resurface, renew and retexture the skin, and as these are areas I need to target, I was really interested in trying out this product and the range in general.

I know of Nip & Fab as they are a popular brand within the world of beauty bloggers, the press and celebrities. Apparently, the Glycolic range has already got a cult following, with Millie Mackintosh and Kylie Jenner. Using glycolic acid along with EVERMAT, the gel like mask gently smoothes away the appearance of lines and wrinkles, whilst tackling enlarged pores. Usage of the Glycolic Instant Fix Mask aims to encourage even toned and smooth skin texture. So far, I have used this product twice – leaving it on for 10 minutes before washing off with warm water. My skin feels unbelievably clean after this, and my pores do actually shrink in appearance which is nice. The following day, I find I have very little shine to my skin too. I’m hoping that with more use, I may start to see fresher skin being revealed,  but so far so good!

I’ve also been experimenting with the other items in the Nip & Fab range – the Dragon’s Blood Fix Cleansing Pads, Glycolic Fix Pads, and the Glycolic Fix Serum. I have to be honest, when I first started using the pads, I did break out slightly around the jaw line, and I’m not sure if this was down to them being a new product, or because they have such a high amount of glycolic acid that it’s really kicking in and working thus bringing out ‘all the junk’ underneath my skin so to speak. Once the initial outbreak calmed, I found these really pleasant to use and they both have fantastic reviews online. The Dragon’s Blood Cleansing Pads smell amazing, and are soaked with such a generous amount of liquid that they remove every last trace of dirt and grime, leaving me with a really clean, refreshed face.

These pads eliminate any dryness, and my skin feels moisturised afterwards which is lovely, as I was slightly worried these may make my sensitive skin quite dry. After a week and a half of using these products, my skin felt fully exfoliated and the overall appearance was definitely brighter – so hopefully with another weeks worth of trialing, i’ll see a clearer complexion too!

With the Glycolic Fix Serum, best results are meant to be spotted after 2 weeks, therefore I’m not quite at the time period to fully review yet. However, after 10 days of using this product, I haven’t experienced any problems with it and feel that using this product at night in conjunction with the cleansing pads, my skin texture and feel is a lot softer and calmer.

I feel that if you are worried about fine lines and wrinkles, and a dull complexion with a rough skin texture, these products with glycolic acid will really sort your skin out. I’m fairly spot prone so I have to be careful these don’t lead to future breakouts, but from the reviews I see online about this range, everyone seems to have nothing but positive results from usage, so I’m pretty confident that this range is a winner! They are available at Boots stores and also online at the Nip & Fab website. Let me know if you have tried this brand yet and what you think…

I just bought 3 of the products from this range; the serum, glycolic pads, and the night pads as i have been very spotty, with enlarged pores and black heads. For some odd reason the nose and cheek area below the eyes have been really really porey. I hope these work, do give an update for them, I would love it if you could!!! ^_^
