Beauty: Halloween Hair and Beauty Tutorials

The other week, I was lucky enough to spend a day with Joanie Clothing filming some rather exciting makeup tutorials for Halloween! I loooove Halloween makeup, mainly because its the one time of the year you can make scary and ugly look pretty cool, and it’s also the one time where pale, ghastly white skin is the way forward!

We’ve all played around with gothic makeup at some point in our lives. The whole black lips, smokey eyes, layered up eyeliner and deep, dark reds. But Halloween gives you the opportunity to go bold with it and actually make yourself look fantastic at the same time. Plus, don’t forget you can use Halloween to style yourself as your favourite character from a scary film (or just an iconic film for that matter).

I spent a day dressing up in Joanie Clothing’s newest Halloween range, which mainly consisted of logo tee’s in bold colours and designs, featuring quotes and slogans. The fab thing about their range is that the clothes are actually re-wearable, so as in, you can wear them aside from Halloween because they are actually super stylish!

My favourite item is the Le Freak C’est Chic Sweater, which I would actually wear on a daily basis with skinny jeans or leggings. It retails on site for £30 as part of their new items, and it’s a great option to pop on along with your Halloween styled hair and makeup.

A more frightful looking top however is the Yorke Beat It Creep Breton Top, at £25 new to site. Now this one is perfect for Halloween because although its red and white stripe print makes it more fashionable, its lettering is creepier and really looks the part!

My hair and makeup was all done by the very talented Bethany at the Vintage Beauty Parlour – a Manchester based makeup company who specialise in that gorgeous, retro inspired pin-up look. I mean, just look how fabulous my hair looks in these photos? I have never been able to get those 50’s styled waves, and don’t even get me started on the space buns…

Myself, Bethany and the Joanie team filmed 3 unique Halloween hair and makeup tutorials, which I don’t have just yet but they are coming soon for me to share with you! I’ll also be uploading them to my YouTube channel which is about to kick in….so stay tuned!
