One of my old time favourite skincare brands recently celebrated their 25th Anniversary, and I’ve been meaning to use their celebration as a chance to rave about them again on the blog. Alpha H has appeared on my recommendations list countless times over the 10 years that I have been running Powder Rooms (formerly What Emma Did- I rebranded the name back in January), mainly because their Liquid Gold product range wins me over time and time again.
If I’m not recommending it in person, you’ll find in often on my Instagram Stories, too.
Before I became a full time blogger and content creator, I used to work within beauty marketing and PR for a beauty retailer, and the reviews I would see come in for the Alpha H range were always positive.
So today, I’ve decided to change the topic away from the Liquid Gold range and bring your attention to a cleanser I’ve been trying out. The Alpha H Balancing Cleanser with Damask Rose is a luxury Limited Edition cleanser with a super delicate scent. So you have a clearer idea of the product, it has a formula of hydrating milk imbued with aromatic rose, hydrating aloe vera and Vitamin E – an antioxidant which assists in restoring the delicate pH balance of the skin. It works to thoroughly cleanse away dirt, surface oils and makeup, without being stripping.
Of course, as this product is a Limited Edition, it could potentially be sold out when you’re reading this, but worry not – the Alpha H Balancing Cleanser is quite a hero product for the brand, with or without the Damask Rose. The nature of my job means I am sent a lot of skincare products to try out, and I have to be especially picky due to my constant acne and spot prone skin. however this cleanser is perfect for those who have to be a little more mindfull.
The Balancing Cleanser is free from potentially drying detergents and SLS’s, and I genuinely love it’s smooth, creamy cleanser formula. It leaves my skin thoroughly cleansed and soft without feeling dry.
If you find you do have redness, pigmentation or marks caused from acne/spot prone skin, it could be worth looking into Australia’s leading salon brand, Alpha-H. I know I’m a die hard fan of the Liquid Gold products (damn it, I went straight onto these again!) but because they have pioneered the use of glycolic acids in skin care nearly 20 years ago, they use acids the right way. The effective yet, yet the gentle way. Their products are designed to work safely on those with visible results on signs of ageing, sun damage, sensitivity and acne, giving results fairly quickly.
You can check out the full range of Alpha H products over on their website, and you’ll also find QVC, Marks and Spencer and Cult Beauty are also great stockists too!
