The Humble Brush: The World’s Most Sold Bamboo Toothbrush

When I was first introduced to The Humble Co. – a brand which develops eco-friendly and sustainability health and wellbeing products – I couldn’t help but think about a statement I saw on their website.

“There is no planet B”. And just how true is that? Nothing had ever rung so true to me in such a long time as that particular statement. There really is no planet B. We just have the one we live in (planet A, if you wish). And that’s that.

I’ve started to make more conscious efforts to be sustainable and caring for the world, and I’m a tiny bit ashamed to say I should have started much earlier.

If you follow me on Instagram, I have been sharing plastic-free, cruelty-free and zero waste beauty products for the best part of the last year. The amount of responses and support I receive from you all is phenomenal, so I only wish to continue sharing new finds.

You don’t have to just look into this one brand and product, either. There are so many quality bamboo toothbrushes that are brilliant for your morning and evening regimes. For example, The Willow Trader offer bamboo toothbrushes along with a range of environmentally friendly health and hygiene products.

Today, it’s the Humble Brush – the world’s most sold bamboo toothbrush with a handle made from 100% biodegradable, sustainably-grown bamboo. It features quality bristles from DuPont, available for both adults and kids.

There is nothing fancy to this brush, yet it’s simple, sleek wooden design looks beautiful on sat in my toothbrush pot. But it’s how I feel when I’m using it that matters. I instantly feel like it’s a small, teeny tiny contribution to improving the planet. If we were all aware of the little changes we could make, we’d all feel the same.

For those wondering about the effectiveness of the Humble Brush, I can assure you it is a toothbrush that cleans just as well and lasts just as long as your regular plastic toothbrush. It then has the added benefit of being better for the environment.

In case any one is questioning the bristles, I looked on the website to get some further info for you. As the Humble Brush wants to offer the highest quality toothbrushes without losing sight of their values for sustainability and making the world a better place, they chose to use nylon-6 because it has a lower hardness (which is good for your teeth) and a lower water absorption (which is good for keeping your brush hygienic) compared to other types of nylon.

In a nutshell, it’s a strong, durable and hygienic synthetic material.

I simply love it’s neutral 100% sustainable bamboo handle, and I also forgot to mention that every Humble purchase funds projects for the benefit of children in need.

The brush costs £4.00 from Boots, in which you can buy in an array of coloured bristles. The brand also offer eco-friendly toothpaste, toothpaste tablets, dental floss and floss picks, so if you like, you can go all out!
