When it’s freezing cold outside and we’re in lockdown, it calls for one thing: cosy warm clothes. I’ve lived in loungewear and then switched to pjs, and then vice versa. However my new favourite items to wear everyday are nothing more than a super cosy fluffy dressing gown with a hood, and matching (ish!) slippers!
I have literally struggled to detach myself from this baby pink snuggly dressing gown and mule type slippers from online retailer Bedroom Athletics. Especially since becoming a first time Mum in lockdown, and having to spend a lot of nights up soothing a crying baby. From sitting in my bed praying the crying from baby Olivia will stop, to going downstairs and making up a bottle and going through the cold hallways back to bed, it’s all about being super warm and feeling comforted.

The dressing gown I’m wearing here is the one I practically live in. And when I’m up throughout the night with Olivia, I keep it in the bed next to me for extra warmth. I sometimes even drape it over my arms and then place Olivia in them, so that she gets the comfy warmth too!
I got this from Bedroom Athletics, and it’s the brands ever-popular Samantha women’s dressing gown. I went for the soft pink colour which comes past my knees, making it perfect for those winter nights and cold mornings. Sometimes when I’m getting up around 5am I just stick the large oversized hood up and let the fluffy gown keep me warm.
Then of course, it’s all about being a little matchy matchy. So the slippers aren’t officially a matching item but I find they look super cute with the gown. These are the Madison sheepskin slider slippers in colour Aquarelle, which are possibly the softest, most luxury pair of slippers I’ve worn!

The plush real sheepskin makes me feel like I’m stepping on clouds every morning when I slip these onto my cold feet. Regardless of what time of year it is, I can see the Madison slipper slider being a firm favourite option for year-round wear. They keep my feet toasty now, but with them being open toe, I sometimes even wear socks underneath them, but know I won’t have to when Spring comes and the days are a little warmer.
They are made from a double faced Grade-A Australian sheepskin and come with a durable sole, and lovely little button finishing. I love nothing more than a simple to wear slip on style slipper, so much so I actually brought both the dressing gown and the slider slippers to hospital with me as I knew they would be really good for slipping on and off, yet giving me that comfort too.
If you’re looking for a slice of luxury when it comes to dressing for those work from home days, I’d highly recommend Bedroom Athletics and their range of lovely dressing gowns and slippers! Superb quality without breaking the bank.
