Here we are again, back on the blog with a glowing review of another Temple Spa product. I tend to come to my blog when I’m super impressed with a product, or want to talk about one that tends to have a bit of USP. The new Truffle De-Light by Temple Spa certainly has a unique touch that it’s a hydra-gel moisturiser, meaning it’s formulated to deliver the most exceptional hydration to the skin.
This product adds to the premium Truffle range, which if you want my opinion, the Temple Spa 24 hour anti-aging Truffle Night cream is one of my favourites as it is soooo luxurious and plumping for my ‘starting-to-age-skin’. The ingredients across the Truffle range are that little bit ‘extra’, so you know you’re getting a combination of quality deliverables. This product in particular includes Champagne extract, which gently exfoliates; black truffle to brighten the skin tone; and kombucha, a superfood that improves the tone and texture of skin.

The innovative ingredients go further as to include prickly pear extract, which aims to soothe irritation especially for those with sensitive skin, strawberry seed oil to purify and refresh, and rose quartz for radiance. It’s great how its packed with a powerhouse of fruit extracts, keeping some natural ingredients in there.
Completing the anti-ageing blend of ingredients is ‘botanical caviar’, also known as sea grapes, an ingredient consumed in Japan and is harvested from seaweed. Botanical caviar is said to significantly improve skin hydration and elasticity, so with this thrown into the hydra-gel formula, you’re on your way to getting the ultimate hydration.
So, obviously that’s the line up of what goes in it and why, but how did I find it?

Firstly, one of the plus points was how the product felt to apply and massage into the skin. The gel feels like a velvet-like, luxury thick gel, which massages into the skin so smoothly and softly. If a product can make you feel pretty special before you’ve even let it do the work, then it’s a positive for sure!
I noticed after the third day of using the product, I started to see a more skin plumped look. My cheeks looked a little more brought to life, lightly glowing and definitely more hydrated. I’ve been using the product for around 10 days now so I can’t comment too much on the reduction of discolouration, but I can see I immediatley saw a brightening effect along with a daily, dewy glow. Almost like my skin tone was correcting itself. I’m assuming the quick turnaround result is from how the ingredients aid cellular renewal at the deepest level.

I’m almost turning 35, so I was hoping this new product would be a good one so I can start incorporating it into my daily routine. Of course, with it’s ingredient list being rather luxe and the product being rich in anti-wrinkle nutrients like strawberry seed oil and gold and silk actives, you can expect to pay a slightly high price. The moisturiser retails at £90 for 50ml, but you do get a line up of high quality ingredients (and a rather fancy looking put too – bonus!)
Regular use of the hydra-gel moisturiser is said to protect the skin against stress and pollution too. For me, it’s the intense hydration and the anti-ageing benefits from the peptides that firm the skin that I’m keen on! That plus the glowing radiance I noticed quite quickly.
I have slightly oily skin so I was pleased to see a semi-matte finish. Not too ‘shiny’, just a subtle glow, yet not too matte too. I would say Truffle De-Light is a great choice for those like me with naturally oily skin, or for those who prefer a lighter layer of skincare.
