SkinCeuticals Glycolic 10 Renew Overnight Review

I’m not sure if you’ve heard me rave about SkinCeuticals before, but basically, I became a huge fan of the US brand around 2 years ago.

I was working for a beauty company as a PR & Marketing Manger, who were a retail that dealt with US skincare brands. I worked closely with Skinceuticals over the two years I was there, and completely fell in love with the brand.

The one I swear by over any is the Triple Lipid Restore 2:4:2 – a skin plumping anti aging lipid based product which completely transformed my complexion.

It’s quite pricey, so I’m unable to keep on purchasing it when I’m empty, so I’ve sadly missed this hero product for the last 6 months. I reviewed it a few times, but one post is over here if you fancy a read,

It is truly fantastic – it plumps the skin and gives a dewy finish immediatley. When I put it on my lips, it even creates a fuller pout! Bonus.

So, when I heard about the new SkinCeuticals Glycolic 10 Renew Overnight, I was instantly intrigued to give it a go. This new product has been designed to improve the appearance of skin tone and texture whilst you sleep, leaving you with smooth and glowing skin.

It used a high percentage of combined 10% Glycolic free acid with 2% Phytic Acid. Due to the low pH of 3.5, these ingredients can deliver their exfoliating properties more effectively and therefore work better to improve skin tone and texture.

When reading up about this unique formula and product, it goes on to say it helps to promote skin brightness and clarity whilst a specialist Soothing Complex minimises dry patches, and prevents inflammation by supporting skin’s protective barrier.

How to use:

For best results, they advise to introduce SkinCeuticals Glycolic 10 Renew Overnight into your routine slowly.

I started by applying a small amount to clean, dry skin on my face and neck every other night for the first week. After about 2-3 weeks, I then started using a small amount every night when me.

How did I find it?

For me, I found the biggest improvement was to my pigmentation and dull, clogged complexion. I have so much sum damage and acne marks from both years or not being careful in the sun and years of acne, meaning I have sun spots, discolouration, red marks, blotches and all sorts.

It didn’t take long at all to see the most clogged up, pigmented areas easing up a little. I’d say after 3 weeks, I suddenly realised my complexion was so much brighter and clearer, with fine lines and wrinkles looking softer. A bit like a filtered look!

So the next two photos are of my skin today, on a Sunday when I’m feeling a little poorly, no makeup on and lack of sleep – so I do apologise! But I always like to keep it real …

Luckily for me my skin took to this product fine – I didn’t experience any redness or flaking or anything like such. I’d recommend using this product for those who feel they benefit from skin treatments such as peels or microdermabrasion to improve skin tone, clarity, texture and radiance. This product would certainly work really well alongside any treatments (in my opinion, I’d definitely check though first!)

It’s quite a pricey at £80, but then again all of SkinCeuticals skincare treatments are around this mark. This is because they are so extensively researched and are clinically proven, with each product going through clinical trials and using the finiest ingredients.

I’m overly happy to see this brand now have a UK site. I’m a fan for life, that’s for sure…
