This Christmas, I’m all about discovering new and exciting beauty brands that I feel make great gifts. As most of you know, I’m hugely into skincare which gives thought into it’s ingredients and effectiveness. If a brand can offer a skincare range which plays into well-being, and also has beautiful packaging (I’m a sucker for nice packaging!) then even more bonus points from me.
Plantopia is a brand I have only recently discovered, and after trying out a couple of products and reading into the brands philosophy, I felt it needed a little write up. They are a skincare and wellness brand providing holistic wellbeing rituals, to support the management and impact of stress for your mind, body and skin. In today’s fast-paced world, if a brand can tap into the well-being approach, it’s certainly the way forward. And these products from Plantopia aim to not just work on the skin alone, but to empower a sense of rebalance and recuperation too.
They do this by centering around the use of adaptogens and essential oils, selecting oils which contribute to holistic wellbeing, treating mind and body. I try to use a mix of skincare packed with essential oils, and then the ones that are acid-based which treat skin concerns too. As I’m always keen to explore new skincare with plant-derived ingredients, I’ve been trying out the serum and face mist over the past couple of weeks.

This Glows Day Serum
I class serums as the ‘treatment step’ when it comes to a skincare regime, as the best time to use them is after cleansing but before moisturiser or night creams. When choosing a serum, it’s always best to chose one which performs a ‘task’ – as it addresses a solution to a skincare concern you have.
This could be helping to improve dull skin, brightening the complexion and adding a glow, like the Plantopia This Glows Day Serum. Or it could be easing lines and wrinkles, calming blemishes, tackling pigmentation or adding hydration. My skin has been dull for a long time, since having my first child, recovering from years of acne, and not having the best diet. This radiance-boosting powerhouse is a potent cocktail of derma-nutritious ingredients, from brightening AHAs and Vitamin C to skin-essential minerals. If you need a product which will brighten your skin, you really need to be keeping your eye out for Vitamin C in your daily serum, and this one combines with AHA’s to slug away dead skin cells to help add that glow.
I found it a fast-absorbing and non-greasy serum, letting it settle for one minute before applying my daily moisturiser. It has a very natural ‘essential oil’ scent, you can tell it’s plant based, yet it isn’t too overpowering either.

And Relax…Face & Space Mist
Here’s a beauty secret that you might not know: your moisturiser or serum will work better if applied to slightly damp skin just after cleansing. This is the best time to use a face mist! Cleanse the skin, pat dry, then lightly spritz a mist onto the skin and quickly apply your serum or moisturiser. This locks in the moisture more than if you apply on super dry skin.
You don’t need a fancy mist to do the job, but I always think if you’re going to mist, you may as well use one that tackles a problem or concern. This one is a dual-purpose, alcohol-free elixir that can be spritzed into your surrounding space as well as misted onto your complexion. It’s relaxing scent aims to calm your mood, promote tranquillity and ground spirits. It’s quite zesty and almost a little bit spicy, yet deeply calming.
So far it’s working lovely to sooth and condition my skin, but mainly, it’s helping to replenish lost hydration. A great gift for those who live busy lives and need to keep on top of both their skincare and their wellbeing.

Energise & Uplift Food Supplement
Now I haven’t personally tried this daily food supplement from Plantopia yet as I’m pregnant and just not trying anything new internally until the baby is here. However, I selected this as a key product from the brand for this little gift guide as I felt it had legs to be a very appreciated gift for most.
This daily food supplement from the Energise and Uplift rage contains an empowering blend of vitamins and herbs, featuring adaptogenic ginseng, alongside Vitamin B6 to maintain energy levels*¹, Vitamin B5 to awaken the mind*² and iron to support cognitive focus*³.
It also contains BioPerine® (Black Pepper Extract)*⁴ to support the enhanced absorption of vitamins and nutrients, granting a wealth of benefits and improved wellbeing. If someone needs that boost when it comes to nutrition and health, mainly focusing on energy and their mood/mind, these are a great addition for them.

A few other products on the Plantopia site that caught my eye include the selection that fall under the Rest + Sleep range. People are relying on extra help for a deep and peaceful nights sleep more than ever now, therefore their range of deeply cocooning bedtime fragrance rituals have been designed to help.
There is quite an extensive range of hero products here which help induce better quality sleep, grounding and restoring the mind, body and skin for enhanced wellbeing. The Lights Out Face + Space Mist sounds like a lovely one for those who need a little extra help sending off to sleep!
Take a look at Plantopia and have a browse under the headings for the different rituals and collections they offer. I do love discovering a brand that has beauty and wellbeing so close to it’s heart.
