If you follow me on Instagram, you’ll know that I’ve been searching for an ideal gillet for sooooo long. I first wanted a long beige one, but then decided a shorter one would work best now we’re coming into Spring. Then I realised black would be a real wardrobe staple and never date… and thus the hunt began!
I’m a petite girl so I wanted one that didn’t swamp me or ‘take over’ my body. Instead I searched womens gilets for one that just flattered it and looked great layered over both chunky items like hoodies and jumpers, and fitted items like tank tops and t-shirts.
The one I’m wearing in this blog post is my new Serena Gilet from Ikrush, which retails at £39.99. The Serena gilet features a black padded puffer style, zip up fastening and double button closures. But for me, it’s the shorter length with sleeveless finish that works well with my own personal style. I can style up with a knitted jumper and jeans, or even a hoody and slimline joggers for more casual days.

On the photos above I’ve decided to style it up a little dressier, layering it up over a shirt puff sleeve shirt dress and black ribbed leggings. And below, I’ve tried it thrown over a beige knitted dress and platform trainers. I love how versatile gilets are these days, they no longer just associated with walkers or older people! They can literally transform an outfit and finish off a fashionable look so easily.
I’ve not got myself a beige one too now, and I’ve seen an ever shorter cropped style on Ikrush that I want to buy before spring properly kicks in now too.

Another outfit I’m loving from ikrush is a super stylish, pretty loungewear set in beige. It’s the Tuesday peplum co-ord in beige. I love what I call ‘power sleeves’ – a puffed up shoulder style which gives the top some attitude. I have actually been wearing the top on it’s own out of the house as I find it doubles up as quite a dressy daytime top!
The loungewear set features the oversized long sleeved jumper with peplum detail and comes with a pair of beige matching wide leg trousers. Ikrush also do this set in a range of other colours too, and I feel it’s quite a stylish set to have in the home! If power sleeves aren’t your thing, there’s a lot of other lovely sets over at their womens co-ordinates page.

There’s quite a lot of nice choices over on ikrush at the moment, so if you’re looking for either comfy loungewear or classics to see you into the Spring season, or some stylish outwerwear, take a look! Use code EMMA10 for 10% off.
