MyProtein New Raw Training Collection Launch

This lovely array of training wear from MyProtein arrived a couple of weeks ago, and I won’t lie, I’d totally fallen off the working out band wagon when it landed in my hands. So much so that when I unpacked the garments, I thought these will make fantastic additions to my loungewear collection.

And in all honesty, these items are perfect for lounging. But since lockdown has started to ease, my mindset has also started to get itself out of lazy mode, and I’ve started to bring myself back into being active again. Not quite as much as before, but I’m getting there. And I’ve started to see this set as a cross between both training wear and lounge wear. Double the wear!

The new collection has been designed by MyProtein from the heritage of old school training and sportswear, and it certainly reminds me of older American films when athletes trained for track running, wearing sweat pants and loose vests. The range, entitled Raw Training collection, is made from a durable cotton construction which aims to maximise performance.

The colour range that I have is ‘carbon’, a kind of petrol blue/grey shade which is a nice change from the standard grey marl or black that I usually opt for across workout wear and loungewear.

Our new 100% cotton Raw Training range is inspired by the heritage of sportswear — the original aesthetic of performance brought to life in a modern garment.

The raw training loose vest that I have is made from 100% cotton, and although a relaxed, loose fit, it still looks flattering when worn, with room for movement with how it doesn’t cling to certain areas. It can loosely be tucked into the women’s Raw Training joggers that I have in carbon too, which again are a roomier, relaxed fit pair or training pants.

The finish of the items have that vintage washed-out look, complete with neat embroidery with reinforced seam construction. The items just feel super comfortable, breathable and soft to wear when I;m either relaxing in the home, or doing yoga, running, walking or free weights. They are literally the only forms of exercise I’m taking part in about twice a week at the moment. Small steps!

My favourite item from the set that I have from MyProtein is the Cropped T-Shirt, again in Carbon, which is a slightly oversized fit with a rib neck trim. The acid wash design gives it that urban look and feel, with dropped set-in sleeves and a flattering crop finish.

I’d say the items in general are slightly oversized. I’m wearing the XS on the photos on this blog, and each one is plenty big enough with lots of extra ‘room’!

A super comfy, quality range of training wear that I’ll also be doubling up as loungewear too…
