Monday 20th Sept at LFW

Apologies to my readers for the little blog action for the last day or so, but I’ve been a busy bee heading down to London in preparation for London Fashion Week…

I’m here as a blogger and writer, but this time not for my own website, as I am guest blogging for Catwalk Queen and So I’m sad to say my own site has had to take second priority! Anyway I have managed to spare a few minutes to write a catch up post whilst all the editors for Catwalk Queen have nipped to the Toni&Guy pop up hairdressers for free haircuts (when I’m growing my hair, not even a free Toni&Guy haircut can persuade me to let scissors go near this mane…) Luckily Warehouse are at hand, giving out free champagne, so I can have some free tipples and blog for a moment!

I got to Somerset House early doors this morning, and went to see David Koma and Holly Fulton’s SS10 shows. They were absolutely amazing, both shows featured an eclectic mix of leather, sequins and glitter embellishments on pretty feminine dresses. I can’t wait for SS11 already! Afterwards, myself and another writer at went for a session of Street Styling – snapping the most fashionable of the fashionable at LFW. I was stood chatting to a lady about her gorgeous style without even realising it was Marina from Marina and The Diamonds! Her outfit was beautiful and photos will be put up as soon as I get back to Manchester. However, her black lipstick wasn’t something I would personally chose myself. Either way, she looked fab!

Highlight of the day so far was attending Nicole Farhi’s SS11 show and being sat metres away from the legend that is Anna Wintour… the paparrazzi were going crazy. She watched the show through oversized sunnies whilst I papped away making sure I had some precious photos of her. Fahri’s collection was effortlessly beautiful, with clean crisp colour palettes and a ready-to-wear feel.

Off to Jasper Garvida show next…. photo’s will be up soon…
