Lifestyle: Pumpkin Inspiration

With Halloween fast approaching, I wanted to put today’s post together pronto to share some Halloween and pumpkin inspired favourites with you all! Halloween takes place this Saturday, so we all naturally start hyping up about trick or treating, fancy dress, and get in panic party mode (i.e- where to spend Saturday night dressed as a ghost!).

So to take the panic away, here is a little summary of what I love about Halloween this year, including some super cool Halloween themed stencils you can download and use if you fancy trying your hand at pumpkin carving this year!

Pumpkin Spice Lattes

As soon as October arrives and Starbucks launch their Pumpkin Spice Latte, I know that Autumn is officially in the air. It’s such a lovely warming coffee drink on the run up to Halloween, and being a coffee addict like myself, it’s nice to have a coffee with a sweet flavoured kick (you can check out my post all about coffee and our favourite caffeine addictions here if you like!). Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte is made with a mix of traditional fall spice flavours, steamed milk and espresso, and is topped with lashings of whipped cream and pumpkin pie spice. Delicious!

Just in time for Halloween, I’ve launched the newest dress from the What Emma Did Boutique in a Halloween inspired colour! This light pumpkin coloured dress is a sassy little backless number, with ruched detailing to the bottom of the dress, and an around the neck tie. It’s super stylish and show stopping for the party season. Take a look at it here to see more information regarding price and sizes…

Pumpkin Make-up

As a beauty and make-up enthusiast, I absolutely love this page I discovered on the Illamasaqua blog which gives mini tutorials on how to create really cool Halloween face painting. Although designed to be scary, the looks put together by the creative Illamasaqua team actually look really intricate and pretty in a strange way too! You can pick from some beautifully designed looks such as ‘Dead Drag’, ‘Dead Graphic’, ‘Dead Kitty’, and ‘Dead Skull’. The artist highlights the steps to take to create the look, and advises which products to use to best create it. I totally want to try out the Dead Kitty look – check out those hollow cheeks! I’d have some real fun contouring cheekbones to create this…
