GlossyBox – My First Experience

We all know I’m a total Twitter geek and spend a fair few hours a day on it, whether I’m browsing on my phone or spend a cheeky half hour on my lunch break catching up on the world of gossip. One thing I’ve been following lately on Twitter is the topic of ‘Glossybox’ – a £10 box that gets posted out monthly packed with mini beauty treats.

So I love both beauty products and surprises, so I can’t believe no one has thought of this idea earlier. Yes I have already given myself a slight slap on the wrist for not thinking up this brainwave idea myself. Anyway, I’ve spent a few months analysing Glossybox via Twitter, looking at peoples photos of their boxes when they’ve arrived through the post, looking at the products they’ve received, whilst trying to decide if it’s a good enough idea to part with that precious £10 each month.

It was after I saw everyone on Twitter posting photo’s of a box stashed with Xen-Tan false tans and gorgeous fluttery false eyelashes that made me crack. I signed up, and waited two months for my first box as Glossybox as they were so busy. And today it came!

The contents included:
HD Brows Palette
L’Oreal Mythic Hair Oil
Plum Perfume Sample
Mini Hair Oil
Under Eye Anti Wrinkle Cream

Thoughts? I’d say I was impressed. The excitement I got when opening the box is the most excitement I’ve had at 8am on a Friday morning in a long time. Loved the HD brows palette, it looks really expensive and contains four different shades with a brush. And I used the L’Oreal Hair Oil this morning on my dried out blonde split ends and it looked incredibly shiny and healthy! I would never have considered using a hair oil before.

Beauty queens, perhaps take a look at Glossybox, you can unsubscribe whenever you wish!
