As Christmas 2020 is in full swing, it can be harder to know what to gift for people we haven’t really seen much of this year. The pandemic is still in full swing, and although we’ve settled into the routine of living in lockdown and then coming out of it into tiers, it doesn’t make things feel much better for us while we should be out doing all the festive things we usually enjoy.
If there’s one thing to take from it all, it’s finding the ability to adapt to change. No longer are we centered around leaving the house with a beautiful handbag and checking that our makeup products are all in place. Especially that bold long-lasting lipstick, I mean, our face masks cover our mouths up!
And that’s where the new norm arrives: face masks. When we leave the house, it’s now ‘keys, phone, purse, face mask’. Who else knows exactly what I mean? I barely bother with lip gloss when I head out. It’s full on face mask, and I cringe when I look in the mirror at those god awful blue/white disposable ones I keep picking up when I go to my hospital appointments and end up with a rather morbid collection of them.

The next mask in this feature injects a little more colour into the world of fashionable masks. It’s from designer Isabel Manns and conbines a beautiful swirl of reds, pinks, oranges and deep purples to give a more whimsical, colour popping feel to a stylish face mask.
Some of the masks by Isabel Manns include a made to order sizing service, and can take around 1-3 weeks to make, so this could be worth investing as a Christmas present to yourself maybe, if you feel you deserve a touch of luxury to your protective clothing!
This one in particular is the Sunset Cotton Mask, and is the brands limited edited printed mask made out of a lovely soft cotton. The mask has a thick lining, elastic ear loops and gap in the lining so that you can place a piece of filter fabric inside if needed.
