Fashion: White Outdoor Attire

So I’m the girl who always wears black. And if I’m not wearing black, it’s usually some other dark shade like grey, navy or burgundy. If you catch me wearing light denim jeans, then it’s really a one off. But anyway; it’s Summer, it’s festival season, it’s tennis season, so it’s all about the great outdoors and embracing a lighter colour palette.

Well you can’t get much cleaner and brighter than white – so here’s to introducing two of my favourite new sports luxe, casual vibe items which I’m loving for this season. They take the form of a festival mac coat, and a pair of soft white sneaker style trainers…

My White Hooded Festival Mac is from Rare London, and is a fantastic throw over coat for those Summer outings. You never know in England when it’s going to pour down, especially in Manchester, so this is a great lightweight coat to keep on or rolled up in a shoulder back or rucksack. It pretty much goes with anything, but I’ve styled it up here with ripped jeans and a collar t-shirt for a semi-smart yet casual look. I reckon it would be perfect with cut off denim shorts, wellies and a cropped tee too!

And now for the comfiest trainers I can’t get off my feet…

These are true tennis style, so with Wimbledon season arriving, I’ll be donning these beauties on and feeling ‘the part’! They are from Tamaris, made up of soft white leather with a little green trim detail. They have little air holes to allow my feet to breathe, and are a fairly low shoe. I even wore them with no socks the other day and they were still unbelievably comfy. The best thing about finding a sneaker style trainer like this, is that they don’t dress you down too much if paired with skinny jeans and a fitted top. They still hold that smartness about them, which means I’m getting a lot of wear out of them!

So maybe I’ll slowly start ditching the black…
