I don’t know about you, but I struggle to keep up with the nautical trend. One minute its stripes ahoy and were all wearing navy, with anchor necklaces draped around our necks. The next minute I’m folding up my sailor suit and firmly hiding it away.
Then it comes back around again! And judging from whats in store for 2010, it looks like the red, white and blue’s are back with vengeance. It started as a trend led by Coco Chanel in the 1930’s, but these days the nautical style is not so much a trend, but a style staple. So love it or hate it, it’s an absolute must-have for your wardrobes. You can wear your stripes casual with slouchy sweaters, or wear it classic à la mini dress.
If your like me and can’t afford to keep splashing out on new nautical outfits, then you may find this website a handy little find. I came across Chic Unique when browsing for my spring/summer stripes, and found a stunning selection at very cheap prices! I’m quickly becoming a fan as Chic Unique add new items daily, all which are cutting edge styles at purse friendly prices. Heres a selection to give you an insight of their lovely stock… http://chicunique.co.uk
