As a total skincare enthusiast, I remember hearing about Cetaphil years and years ago from researching pretty much every skincare brand going, and even joining skincare forums. It was big in America, as it hadn’t launched in the UK at this point. I’d hear people recommend their products for those taking Roaccutane for acne and were left with very dry skin. I had acne quite badly myself, so I’d spend endless hours browsing skincare forums and advice online from being 15. I’m now 34, and I still do this, however you’ll find me doing it more via Instagram and YouTube these days.
So, when Cetaphil launched in the UK, I was eager to try it. But saying that, I used a cleanser from the brand once and never really knew which way to go with trying a full skincare range from the brand. Until now, in which I’ve been trying out a full range of products from the Cetaphil PRO range, which I wanted to share with you today!
I decided to give 3 products from their PRO range a good try by using them all together without any other products for a good 2 weeks before reporting my thoughts. Well, I used a an Estee Lauder eye cream alongside them, and also a Nivea Micellar Water, but other than that I tried to stick to these products altogether to enhance my first ‘proper’ Cetaphil experience. So, what did I think of the brand I’d read up about for years and seen the hype in the States? Have a little read on…

Cetaphil Pro Cleansing Wash:
This cleanser is a generous size at 236ml a bottle, with a pump action top so you can easily control how much you need. You really only need 1 pump, perhaps two if you’re not using micellar water first to remove your heavy makeup. Basically, I found this cleanser a very good option if you want to ensure your skin is deep cleansed in a gentle way, without being stripped of any oils, dried out, or treated with any acids. It literally does what it says it does: provide gentle yet effective daily cleansing, removing make-up, impurities and excess oil without over drying.
I’d call it a great all-rounder and a safe option if you’re unsure which cleanser to choose for you skin. I have acne prone skin, however this has been dermatologically tested on sensitive and redness-prone skin, making it suitable for people with skin that may be prone to rosacea.
You can use it both morning and night, although I try to just use warm water in the morning. You simply massage the cleanser over damp skin, in which you’ll see it lightly foam up. Left my skin feeling squeaky clean every time without drying or looking red afterwards, therefore a perfect option for an effective cleanse.

Cetaphil PRO Tinted Moisturiser Day Cream
So I’ll be truly honest with this one – it’s a fabulous product that has got me up-ing my skincare game so that one day, I’ll be able to go out wearing this and not feel the need for foundation or CC cream. Currently I’ve had a few breakouts from eating a lot of sugar and carbs since having my baby in lockdown (and turning to the kitchen cupboards for comfort, you know what I mean!). This has gave me a fair few beasty spots on my jaw and cheek – where I’m prone to my hormonal breakouts too. This has meant that as much as I would love to get away with a tinted moisturiser, it’s now my aim to feel great with just this on instead of my ‘heavy layers’.
It’s a pretty dream product, as the Cetaphil PRO Tinted Moisturising Day Cream SPF30 provides both effective moisturisation for sensitive skin prone to redness, and that slight wash of colour and coverage. The tint is very sheer, as I feel it just adds that boost to the skin to even out skin tone and appear healthier and fresher. It will be a fabulous one to wear on holiday – if we can eventually go this year – as it provides SPF30 protection with mineral-based filters.
You can apply it various times throughout the day too if your skin needs an extra moisture or clarity boost. I love everything this product offers – I just hope my skins looking better soon as I can feel more confident using just this alone! (and perhaps a bit of concealer under my eyes…)
The Pro Tinted Moisturising Day Cream is £19.99 at Boots.

Cetaphil Pro Moisturising Night Cream
This dedicated night cream has been specially formulated for sensitive skin, therefore I take that as a green card for my breakout prone skin. When applied at night after cleansing, this moisturiser provides continuous moisture overnight to reduce appearance of redness due to dryness overnight. It feels lovely and rich when applying, although it absorbs quickly without leaving a residue or tacky feeling on the skin. No particular scent to it too, meaning it causes no irritation or contains anything to irritate.
The product says that it works to strengthen and support the skin barrier function with continuous overnight moisturisation, so I’m hoping that with continued use, my skin will be more resilient and continue to have excellent moisture levels, especially as we go into the Summer months soon.
Overall, using these 3 products in conjunction together has been a lovely experience and one y skin has definitely benefitted from. They all do exactly what they say, including providing moisture and leaving the skin looking fresher and healthier. You can shop this £11.99 at Boots.
