Beauty: The Skin and Hair Products I’m Currently Using

OK guys – a blog post AND a video today to answer a lot of those burning questions I get asked a lot on Instagram. I find I get lots of you lovely people asking me via Instagram, email or on my Facebook page about the products I currently use, and what would I recommend over anything else.

You know the sort: best eye cream, favourite facial mask, best cleanser… we all love a good recommendation. But in all honesty, I do have some cult favourites that stay with me year after year, and then for some products, I switch them up every month.

I decided to compile all my thoughts into a little beauty Q&A video for you, where I focus on the skincare and haircare products I’m using at the moment, which I would hand on heart recommend.

Some have been kindly gifted to me over time, and others I’ve purchased myself on a whim and fell in love with them. Either way, I’m currently using alllllll the products featured in the video and am super happy with them all.

So lets take a watch!

Olaplex Hair Perfector No 3

I wanted to touch on this product a little bit outside of the vlog above, because I just want to say how friggin’ good it is, really. I can only really comment on behalf of the blondies out there, but I find it’s a miracle worker on my blonde hair and is essential for keeping it strong and healthy.

I have bleach on my hair every 6-8 weeks, and it really weakens and dries out my locks. I’ve had the Olaplex treatment carried out in salons before, but now I have it at home, I’m trying to use it a couple of times a month before I wash my hair.

The times I’ve used it, I’ve been so happy with the results. It’s pretty much almost instant in my opinion – my frazzled, rough blonde tresses are so much smoother, stronger and glossier. You can get it from a number of retailers, including Feel Unique.

Dr Roebucks No Worries Moisturiser

The next brand I wanted to quickly mention is Dr Roebucks, which I briefly touch on during the vlog. I’m always looking for new moisturisers to use, as I’m yet to find one I’m loyal to. But so far, the Dr Roebucks No Worries Moisturiser is working a treat.

The brand – Dr Roebucks – is a beautiful, clean Australian skincare brand, which has recently had an entire re-brand and has juts launched in the UK this month.  My skin is pretty dry most of the time, and I’ve found this product to be a lightweight, anti-aging moisturizer formulated to help to improve cell regeneration.

So in a nutshell, it repairs damage, softens fine lines and replenishes skin. It’s infused with Vitamin E, Rosehip Oil, Hyaluronic Acid and Macadamia Oil to soften, brighten, and rejuvenate, so far it’s being really kind to my skin and hydrating it perfectly.

Hyaluronic is my favourite ingredient, as I discuss on the video, but I’m also a huge fan of Rosehip Oil for my pigmentation (it helps to face it…) so this is a pretty impressive moisturiser for me!

Jurlique Rosewater Products

Last but not least, I just wanted to quickly follow up from my mention in my video about the range of Jurlique Rosewater Balancing products. I honestly LOVE the Rosewater Balancing Mist – it’s been a cult favourite of mine for a long time and I swear by it for spritzing the face before makeup and after moisturiser, to calm the skin and keep it dewy.

But, I also swear by it for setting makeup and finishing off my look. You literally just lightly mist it over a full face of makeup, and it will keep your makeup looking fresher for much longer. It’s perfect for holidays!

I’m currently enjoying two of their other products, the Rose Moisture Plus lotion, and the Rose Moisture Plus Moisturising Cream Mask, at the moment too. I’ve always been a fan of the mist but had never really tried the rest of the brand, up until now.

They smell light and fragrant of subtle roses – that floral touch but not too heavy. The Moisture Plus lotion is lightweight in it’s texture, but absorbs deep down and leaves a soft, fresh, moisturised feeling to my skin. I’m going to continue to use these and see how I get on with them…
