Beauty: SHOW Beauty Hair Products

what emma did

Those who know me and regularly read this blog will know that as much as I love discovering a fabulous beauty product range, there is also another area I have a soft spot for – and that is packaging. Oh how lovely it is to uncover beautiful, show stopping, pretty packaging. Packaging so glamorous it transforms my dresser instantly and makes me feel all ‘special’ just looking at it. So combine stunning packaging with a product range that performs brilliantly too, and it sure gets the ‘What Emma Did’ vote. So have I just discovered a new favourite which ticks both these boxes?

I sure have. Introducing SHOW beauty Premiere hair care range – a brand which has allowed me to finally uncover a haircare collection with bottles pretty enough to rival my perfume line up! Show Beauty’s launch of luxe hair products is the perfect mix of glam bottles, super smoothing potions and a gorgeous founder whose name we can certainly trust and take inspiration from. Tamara Ecclestone, the British model and founder behind the brand, developed the line using her inspiring life of jet setting to do field research for the brand. Oh how professional and chic these boxes look…

In a mission to improve the condition of my hair for 2016, I’ve been trying out a selection of products from SHOW beauty, and feeling rather ‘posh’ at the same time! Take a look at a little product round-up of some of my favourites…

Dry Shampoo: With fine hair that gets greasy quickly, I rely on a good quality dry shampoo for ‘the day after washing’ scenario. This particular Dry Shampoo does exactly what I would expect it to do: revitalise, refresh and absorb up any lingering grease. My hair feels beautifully fresh and looks more volumised after spraying onto roots and rubbing in. It includes tapioca powder and rice starch to withdraw impurities and absorb oil at the root, while a unique blend of botanical extracts including aloe vera, mango, kiwi and ginger lily condition and protect against moisture loss. Extremely happy with this!

Finishing Spray: Not only does this finishing spray act as a firm holding, long lasting hairspray, but it also contains Litchiderm lychee extract, enriching Argan Oil and wheat proteins to replenish, moisture and repair the hair’s natural texture. Therefore, using this spray doesn’t give my hair that obvious drying, crunching feel to touch afterwards. Don’t get me wrong, it still sets hair a little crispy as do all hairsprays, but this one feels more premium, and I can tell it’s packed with hair loving ingredients to try prevent drying it out. Nice little scent to it as well.

Treatment oil: Ah, wonderful Argan oil! Heals a multitude of hair sins in one does Argan Oil (in my opinion…). The precious little decorative bottle is filled with this lightweight anti–oxidant and nutrient–rich formula to deliver renewed hair fibre,  strength and deep nourishment. Apparently it is often named  ‘liquid gold’ by beauty experts, due to it’s ability to penetrate the cuticles to strengthen and enhance the elasticity of hair. I apply this to damp hair before styling and drying, as my hair is fine and it can be quite heavy for thinner hair. It’s also a great finisher too, for extra gloss. A great treatment…

Hair Fragrance: Named ‘Decadence Hair Fragrance’, I can confirm this scent for the hair is as luscious as it sounds. Just a small burst of spritz held at a slight distance is all you need with this to lightly fragrance your hair beautifully. It contains rose water with the lightest notes of coconut milk, caramel and almond butter, with a background of Madagascan vanilla, sensual patchouli and soft white musk. It truly is a girly touch, adding to the whole ‘special’ vibe. Vitamin E and aloe vera along with essential vitamins and minerals fight free radicals and colour fade, while jojoba oil enhances shine and restores hair’s natural strength and beauty. I have never really indulged in hair fragrances before, but this has me a changed woman. I am in LOVE with this product. Deeply.

Thermal Protect: This is one most people will get the best use out of, as if you are a regular for blow drying, straightening or curling your hair, this lightweight spray is incredible for protecting hair from the heat while adding eye-catching shine. It also helps to create than smooth-to-touch finish once hair is styled, eliminating frizz and static. Again, another winner.

As you can tell from my write-up, I’m pretty smitten on this range. The products are currently available from selected House of Fraser, Harvey Nichols and Selfridges department stores, and don’t come too cheap, ranging from £30- £55 for 250ml bottles. However, the price does reflect the quality, so if you are after investment products, then you’ll potentially get what you pay for…

Good post. I learn something totally new and challenging on sites I stumbleupon on a daily basis.
It’s always useful to read through articles from other authors and practice a little something from other sites.
