Some of you may not be aware that aside from being a fashion and beauty blogger, running my dress boutique and working in PR, I also have another string to my bow (when time allows) and that is bridal make-up artistry. As time is pretty limited, I only really manage to do the make-up for my friends weddings, or occasion make-up for when someone I know has an upcoming event, but recently I have trying to dedicate more time to working on this in my spare time. I recently did an event at House of Fraser (check out the event post I put together here), where I put together make-up master-classes in store, and over the weekend my latest bridal make-up involved a bridal party of six. I haven’t yet got access to the ‘real’ photographs from the day of the gorgeous bride and bridesmaids, but here are a couple of the bridal party at Mere Golf Club in Cheshire where we celebrated the special day…
I like to keep it quite natural for bridal make-up, usually with a mix of bronze and neutral colour palettes, with nude lips but plenty of lashings of black mascara. I go for a soft contour and lots of highlighting, and always just the best primer (Smashbox of course) so that the make-up for both the bride and bridesmaids last all day. I’ll put together a post this week highlighting the best cosmetic and skincare products I recommend for bridal make-up, but if you wish to know anything extra, just drop me an email and I can answer any questions.
