Beauty: Harvey Nichols Beauty Bloggers Event

Last Tuesday, I headed down to Harvey Nichols in Manchester for an evening of beauty talks and browsing the various brands for hints, tips, and mini makeovers! A self confessed beauty addict, I was more than in my element watching make-up artists from Bare Minerals, Benefit and Chanel, to name a few, carry out make-overs and talk through their best products.

Live talks and product demonstrations were carried out by Bobbi Brown, Creme De La Mer and Rodial, where I really enjoyed hearing about Rodial as they are a brand I haven’t ever tried before and wasn’t aware of them until last year. We listened to an in-deptth talk about the Rodial Snake Mask which sounds incrediable! The black liquid mask contains liquorice and sets as a jet black facial mask, removing dead skin cells and blackheads, being advertised as ‘The Alternative To Surgery’! The peel off mask improves texture and radiance, and can even visibly diminish the look of lines, especially if you use this mask before a night out the effects are meant to be noticable if you have some photos taken straight after using it with your evening make up on!

I haven’t used this product so can’t give a user opinion of it, but from what I heard, I really want to get my hands on it! However at £68, I thinking it will be more of a present…

We also listened to an in-depth talk from Creme De La Mer, where we learnt about a fantastic £1,000 plus product (didn’t catch the name as was too busy trying to catch my breathe about the price!), however I did hear about a fab product called The Concentrate which is a great product for resurfacing skin types and clearing any past blemish marks etc.. Increasing your skins natural renewing process, this product claims to re-texture your skin if used everyday. Another one for the wish list!

We got a nice little gift bag on mini samples to take away with us, which I was very happy to see we had been treated to some mini Creme De La Mer products! Always a brand I wanted to test out to see what the hype is about…. looks like I can try now and tell you…

Big thanks to the ladies at the Harvey Nichols Press Office for arranging a lovely event.
