Beauty: Freshskin by Elemis

I was recently contacted about a beauty event in London to celebrate the new range by Elemis called Freshskin. Unfortunatley I couldn’t attend, therefore the lovely people at Elemis sent me a selection of products from Freshskin to try out and see for myself what they are about.

Designed for younger skins, the range is made up of 10 innovative products which aim to keep younger skins youthful for longer, and cleanse, moisturise, exfoliate, prevent damage and boost skins elasticity. Each product is formulated with naturally active ingredients such as elderflower, rosehip seed, goji berry and geranium to help the skin ‘come to life’ more and bright dull, tired and lifeless skin.

I’m already a die-hard Elemis fan – I use their Tri-Enzyme range morning and night, including using the face serums’s and masks from this range too. As I already have a lot of trust in the brand, I didn’t doubt for a second that I’d be disappointed with this new collection, and I wasn’t! I recieved samples of the new Peachy Perfect Face Wash,  Softly Softly Moisturiser, Deep Clean and Moisturising Face Masks, and Dreamy Sleep Night Time Moisturiser. All products have that botanical, plant-like scent which reminded me of nature and ‘naturalistic’ ingredients even before I had checked out what the creams and gels contained, which is always nice!

The first products I tried out were the Freshskin facemasks. I have to be honest, when I use face masks from some other brands I don’t usually notice much of a change to my skin after usage. But I first used the Deep Cleanse mask from Elemis and straight away I noticed it went deep into every pore of my face and set quite tightly. I took a photo to show you how deep the mask goes as it literally shows up every pore, but it isn’t actually a very nice photo- all my pores on show! Yuk! So I decided to leave that photo off so you don’t feel sick! I washed it off after 10 minutes and my skin felt lovely and fresh, really squeaky clean. Oil was absorded and my skin felt slightly exfoliated, any roughness or bumps were instantly feeling much smoother.

I then brought along the Moisture masks for me and 2 friends over the weekend for a girls night in, and I loved this mask even more than the other! As soon as this one washed off, my skin was really soft and supple, literally as soon as I touched it. The texture was ultra smooth and I looked more radiant and fresh faced. My friends said exactly the same thing too! So to sum up, I loved these masks! I would recommend the Moisture masks to anyone who suffers dry skin or combination skin, as it really is balancing.

My second favourite product had to be the Dreamy Sleep Night Time Moisturiser, which smells luscious! It has a lovely texture and melts into skin straight away…

I haven’t yet got round to using the peach face wash, but when I do, I’ll let you know my thoughts on it. To me, Elemis just can’t do any wrong! I know we all have different skin types and it may not be ideal for everyone, but if you have combination or dry skin, these products really work with your skin. The Tri-Enzymn range that I swear by is also fantastic – however I use it to smooth out my skin and rid of any red marks left over from belmishes, although it’s meant to be really good for ageing skin (luckily I can’t comment on that at my youthful age!). If your a big Elemis fan too, let me know…
