Beauty: Barry M Liquid Chrome Highlighter Drops

Big beauty news from me today – I’ve found a brilliant range of liquid highlighters that I can’t stop screaming about across social media! If you follow me on Instagram and watched my stories, you’ll probably have seen a few posts about these beauuuuutiful Barry M Liquid Chrome Highlighter Drops.

I’ve been searching for a fantastic liquid highlighter for a long while now. I’ve been quite happy with the powder highlighters I currently use, but I was desperately seeking a liquid version that wasn’t the ICONIC ones. I wanted to discover a more accessible version, a slightly more affordable highlighter, and one that ideally comes in more than one shimmery shade.

These new little pots cost just £6.99 (I totally thought they were going to be around the £8.99 – £9.99 mark), and these Liquid Chrome Highlighter Drops give the ultimate intense glow!

I love to add a touch of liquid highlighter on top of my foundation (before I apply setting powder) to the tops of my cheeks, the corners of my eyes, under my brow bone and a teeeny tiny amount on the centre of my forehead and down my nose. With these, you just remove the lid and either dab the luminous liquid from the glass droplet onto the skin, dab onto your finger first, or even apply to a brush.

It’s totally up to you how you wish to apply. I’ve been dropping the highlighter directly on top of my foundation, then using either a small fluffy blending brush or a beauty blender, I’ve blended the highlighter in until its creamy texture melts into my foundation.

They come available in 5 stunning, metallic shades, each used to brighten the skin and highlight your bone structure for instantly lustrous skin. Each one is formulated with striking pearls to reflect light, and depending on whichshade you select, they have an underlying secondary shade which shines through real metallic.

For example, the ‘Moon Potion’ highlighter is the whitest brightest of the 5, and has an undertone of icy silver. The ‘Precious Pearl’ has a striking metallic pink undertone, ‘Liquid Fortune’ contains a golden bronze, ‘At First Light’ has peachy pearl undertones, and ‘Beam Me Up’ is filled with sparkling, glistening gold.

Below, I’m wearing Moon Potion, set with Laura Mercier Candle Glow Powder, and a super strong contour to balance it out.

These stunning highlighters can be used on there own for an intensely radiant highlighting effect or you can even add drops to your favourite foundation for an all over glow.

From left to right, the shades are as follows:

  • Moon Potion
  • At First Light
  • Beam Me Up
  • Liquid Fortune
  • Precious Pearl

My two favourites are Moon Potion, which I’m wearing on my photos here and also on this instagram post, and Beam Me Up, which is a soft golden glow I can see working really well with a fresh holiday tan (or even complimenting a false tan too).

I don’t know about you, but I’m drawn to looking at the tops of my cheekbones on these photos above – that glow and shimmer is insanely beautiful if I do say so myself!

A fantastic launch from Barry M, and I’m excited to explore these further…
