Beauty: Bali Body Bronzing Lotion Review

For those who read my beauty reviews regularly, you’ll know I tend to lean towards gradual tanning body lotions over instant tans usually, if I have a choice.

However, when I decided to check out the much talked about brand Bali Body (maybe I got attracted to it because Bali is one of my favourite places!) I was drawn to their Bronzing Lotion – an instant, glowing body lotion with a touch of skin bronzing. And apparently, the brand sells one product every 45 seconds, 365 days of the year. WOW!

Firstly, when I was on the Bali Body website having a browse, I couldn’t help but think that the design, packaging and general aesthetics of the brand is literally so attractive. The shimmery, simple bottles in muted, pastel colour schemes look absolutely stunning – the perfect addition to the dressing table!

The two photos above and the one below were taken after I applied just one light application of the Bali Body Bronzing Lotion. It’s an antioxidant-rich moisturiser which provides a hint of tint while smoothing the skin with Vitamin E and natural oils.

It gives the skin that touch of bronze by being enriched with organic caramel extract to provide that instant tinted glow. The bronze is subtle if you apply a light application, which darkens up the more you massage in.

It retails at £22.95, and a 150ml bottle will last you quite a long time if you just want your body to have that all over healthy, lightly bronzed glow when you’re heading out (or even to apply on top of your SPF when going on the beach). It has a light scent which smells like ‘holidays’ – a nicer version of coconut infused sun creams – and leaves skin feeling soft and hydrated.

Excuse the fact I have no make-up on whatsoever on these photos!

The above shows my arm after rubbing in the luxe bronzing lotion. As you can see, the tint is even and rich.

The photos below were taken before the light application, and as you can see, I’m a little more pasty!

I’m excited to try more products from this Aussie brand, including the Tanning Oils (especially the Pineapple and Watermelon)…
