If you have been following me on Instagram and my new home journey, you’ll see I recently moved to Cheshire and am loving being in the new house! We have made the move from a 3 bedroom semi to a 4 bedroom detached, and I have to say I am over the moon with the extra space for our family. Having a garage for storage has been a life saver for us, but also having a spare room for an office and a bigger bedroom for Olivia has been just brilliant so far!
The spare bedroom which is saved for guests also doubles as my getting ready room. I couldn’t twist my partners arm enough to have it as a dressing room, however I have storage space for all of my electrical items, makeup, skincare, dresses etc, so it’s a real lovely space! Recently, I added a handy little beauty item to the room, and it really has been one of my favourite items to own lately, which is why I feel it needs an article alllll about it.
Here is the Beautifect box, designed by Dr. Lalvani, a professional mum who knew there was a gap for a multi-tasking beauty wonder box. It has since become available at Harrods, which does not surprise me due to it’s premium finish and luxury appearance. For those who want a professional light to apply makeup, clever storage and a pretty appearance to suit any home will overly appreciate this makeup box. I mean, how chic and beautiful does it look?

I’m a new mother myself, and I find that with limited time to get myself ready, I need my makeup to be ‘to hand’ without any fuss or mess. I also stay at my mums one night a week, and I have always needed a more robust and sturdy solution to makeup storage, let alone something with a built-in soft light for makeup application. But over all the advantages, the case itself has enabled me to use the light for everyday makeup application and feel much less need to invest in a bigger lit mirror.
In the new home, I had wondered if it was worth getting a soft lit mirror to help with getting ready. However, since owning the Beautifect box, I really haven’t needed to give it another thought. I can pull up a chair and rest the box on the side, open up and light up the mirror, and grab my makeup products and tools direct from the box as I get ready.
I heard that the founder, Dr. Lalvani, knew she wanted to keep up with her beauty routines but had struggled finding the time to do her makeup in a room complete with the best lighting and all of her beauty essentials. With a new born, it isn’t practical to leave the baby in another room while seeking out the best makeup light, and travelling to your products. Neither is loading yourself up with armfuls of products and carrying them around the house in your arms to keep an eye on the baby.
“I created Beautifect with the empowering mission to make women’s lives easier. Beautifect allows you to have extra freedom with your daily routine and not miss out on precious time with your children.“– DR. TARA LALVANI

This is when the genius idea was created: why not bring the make-up counter effect to you? And this is when the Beautifect box began it’s creation. What I love the most when using it for makeup application is that it doesn;t just come with one standard light setting- there are five lighting settings so you can get the perfect color match. I’ve found this has helped when i’ve been in different lit rooms, like bulb lit rooms, outside, or in darker, dim spaces.
I often set my phone up just infront of the light too for if I need to film any makeup tutorials or take a makeup selfie where I need better lighting that what I currently have. It tends to travel around my home, where ever my little girl is so I can keep an eye on her while doing makeup. But it does actually live in my spare room, and it’s soft dusty pink colour works so beautifully with the feminine room.
In terms of the product itself, the casing is very sturdy, so I haven’t worried about carting it around with me and potentially breaking, although I do advise you to still be careful as it holds the mirror inside. It has two clasps to open up, and an invisible magnetic bar behind the mirror allowing you to use the small removable magnetic magnifying mirror too. I tend to like this for when I’m tweezing!
In terms of the case itself, it is a fairly deep storage case, that provides various sections of space to fit makeup of different sizes in. I tend to use it for brushes at the ends, and then concealers, foundation bottles and palettes in the middle. I am definitely not organised, so this does help me out!

The best part is as long as the mirror is charged up- which is done via USB – the Beautifect box is wireless, so you can stylishly carry your makeup or beauty regime around with you and get glam anywhere you need to! It looks perfect in any room of the house and as I’ve learnt, I don’t need to look into a light up mirror anymore.
Some other pros include: It’s portable, it has a great quality professional light, mirror is decent size, it encourages being tidy and organised, it’s hard cased, looks stylish, improves multitasking with a child and makes a great gift idea!
The only cons I can think of is that I could actually benefit from an even bigger Beautifect box because I have that many products! But I guess that’s me being makeup obsessed.

You can purchase the Beautifect Box online, and I have also spied they do a gorgeous white one and a gold version too! The luxury beauty box can be found for £279 at Beautifect here.
