When it comes to gifting for Christmas – or for any type of occasion or event in that sense – fragrance is always a number one gift idea. Some people can say it’s unimaginative, but I really feel that all depends on how you shop for fragrance in how it can become a little more exciting.
I mean, fragrance is personal, and you can tailor what scents, packaging and sizes you get for someone based around their personality. Plus, there is so much more to fragrance now than a beautifully wrapped up bottle of Chanel (which we’d probably all like to find under our tree, let’s be honest).
I always find gifting a brand that is a little more unique or coveted is the best way to go if you’re unsure how to do it. Another way to go around it is to gift travel sized fragrances, or a collection of small sizes so your gift receiver can explore some new discoveries.
The set I wanted to share today is by fragrance brand Tocca, and their trio set which allows you to discover three of Tocca’s intoxicating fragrances with this miniature fragrance trio set.
First up, for the ladies who appreciate style and class, the fragrances are each encased in an elegant gift box, so they always look pretty when unwrapped. Secondly, the perfumes are bottled in the brand’s vintage-style flacons, topped with engraved, bronze caps. Tocca Florence Eau de Parfum (20ml)
Top Notes: Italian Bergamot, Grapefruit Leaves, Green Pear, Apple.
Heart Notes: Ivory Gardenia, Crushed Violet Petals, Jasmine, Tuberose, Blue Iris.
Base Notes: Blonde Wood, White Musk.
Florence is the fragrance that comes in a sage green box, and out of the three, is the more feminine, romantic and playful one. It has fruity notes as it opens with a careful accord of Pear, Apple and Grapefruit, boosted with fresh and zesty citrus notes to create an uplifting aroma.
The deep romance feel comes from the notes of Violet, Jasmine and Iris, which muddle together to give a potent yet girly ‘bloom’ aroma. Top Notes: Bitter Grapefruit, Lush Greens, Cassis Bud.

This one in particular has empowering stories and inspirations behind it, making it fabulous for the strong, modern woman. It’s been inspired by the ancient, iconic seductress, Tocca’s Cleopatra, in which the fragrance gives a nod tothe beauty, passion and confidence of the independant woman.
At first, I was greeted with fresh yet subtly strong floral notes, reminiscent of summer gardens and freshly-picked blooms. It isn’t too sweet though, and I’d say the fragrance opens with more of a sparkling aroma, with the scents of Grapefruit and Cassis bud. It’s feminine side comes in through powdery hues – white florals creep combining with White Jasmine, Peach Nectar and musky Tuberose that creates a warmer tone. The scent is finished with oriental notes of Indian Patchouli, Amber and rich, and creamy Vanilla.
Tocca Stella Eau de Parfum (20ml)
Top Notes: Blood Orange, Watery Accord.
Heart Notes: White Freesia, Wild Diamond Orchids, Spicy Lily.
Base Notes: Sheer Musk, Sandalwood.
The brighter, more uplifting scent of the three in my opinion is the Stella fragrance. The amber boxed bottle encourages feelings of being fresh, radiant and luminous, as this scent instantly evokes images of lightness and spontaneity. You have juicy top notes of Blood Orange and crisp, clean Watery Accord. Lightly contrasting these bold notes are smoother, creamier notes of White Freesia, tantalising Wild Diamond Orchids and fiery Spicy Lily. The spiced notes coming through encourage that free-spirited and fun-loving vision the perfume aims itself to.
It could be said that there are playful clashes with the notes, making this the most flirtatious and whimsical of the three. Perhaps a great one for going out on the town with the girls, as this encourages the wearer to embrace a carefree, happy-go-lucky side more often.

I personally love Florence the most for the scent, however the Stella is my favourite to have on my bedside table in terms of appearance. Soooooo possibly can say I can’t really pick an exact favourite, but all three look and smell premium and luxury – ideal for gifting and allowing someone new to discover and explore.
