Doesn’t matter whether it’s birthdays, Christmas, Valentines or anniversaries, I always strugglewith my other half when it comes to presents. Some guys might be really easy to buy for, with a handwritten list to pass over full on ideas. But not mine. He’s non materialistic too, which makes it even worse.
In this post, I’ve decided to show you ten ultra classy gifts for men, no matter who the man is or what the occasion is. These gift ideas will always be in style because they are timeless and classic, and can be slightly amended if you don’t feel they are the ideal fit. If anything, they should act as a great idea for you if you’re in the same boat as me!
Guys will always appreciate understated gift ideas that express a timeless feel, because the don’t seem to be quite as obsessed with ‘things’ as us women. Unless it’s cars or designer watches, but they do not appear on this list (I’m keeping the prices reasonable!).
So, this list features classy gift ideas for men who don’t choose style over substance, but rather have style because of their substance. Makes sense?
If you are looking for a gift idea that is timeless, will always be in style, and puts a smile on his face, here are ten of the best choices you can make.
1. Premium Spirits

A man loves his spirits, but more so a real ‘gentlemans’ one. The best ones to gift include the more premium brands of bourbon, whiskey, gin or scotch… these are the timeless choices which not only make great ‘male’ favourites, they look pretty classy in the drinks cupboard too. You could also look at whiskey memberships online or those subscription boxes that introduce a new spirit every month.
If he’s a wine drinker, how about a membership to a wine delivery service, too?
2. Coffee Machine or Coffee Accessories
A taste for the finer things in life often includes coffee, especially if he’s now working from home a lot more. If he appreciates coffee brewed the right way, let him enjoy it with the right equipment. A Nespresso coffee machine takes up hardly any room in the kitchen with some if their slimmer designs, and it also allows you to keep getting him gifts related to it. A milk foamer? His birthday. Endless packs of coffee pods? Christmas stocking gift. Double walled clear coffee mugs or espresso cups? Anniversary. Sweet!
3. Quality Underwear
Men don’t tend to go crazy like us women by having drawers full of underwear. They will, however, tend to shop more quality. They don’t load themselves up monthly at Primark with trend led pieces. Instead, they just want stylish boxers in an array of colours. Purchasing your man’s favorite boxers from fourapparell.com makes it easier for him to wear boxers that are more fashionable and comfy.
There are lots of retailers out there that offer smart, trendy yet high quality boxer shorts for men that don’t sit in the designer category and break the bank. Tokyo Laundry is a great one to look at, as they have sleek designs that often come under the 3 pairs for £22 offer.

4. DSLR Camera
Everyone loves taking photos, but if your man has a passion for it, it’s great to jump on it as they can get so many great captures that you can benefit from! Family snaps, holidays…. Instagram posts! Ha ha. Some men enjoy the solitude and artistry that comes with taking photos, like landscapes and sunsets, or close ups of nature and beyond.
If he’s already into photography, he might have a camera already, but it’s worth looking at a DSLR if he wants to up his game. If he’s keen to learn photography at a greater depth, why not book a course for him too?
You can always buy add ons later down the line too, like lenses, cases or editing suites.
5. Keepsake Wallet
Along with keys and a phone, a wallet is one of the few things a man will always take out with him – no matter where he goes. A man usually likes to be quite proud of their durable wallet, making it a prized procession to keep their cards and cash in one handy place.
You can go for one that’s personalised with initials if you like, or one made from a luxury leather.
6. Foodie Gifts
Food and sweet treat gifts are so underrated! You’ll struggle to find a man who won’t be grinning from ear to ear when he receives a box of edibles, whether it be sweet or savoury. If you are looking for unique gifts for a change, try giving soy free chocolate bars. Always a good place to start when it comes to sweet and food gifts, and soy free options tend to suit all.
Alongside chocolate and sweets, you can opt for wine and cheese packages, homemade curries with fresh ingredients – even steak and wine packages. Have a think about the man in your life: do they enjoy Italian food, sweets, beer, wine, specialty ice cream, Thai cuisine…?
A quirky one worth looking at is a gift that combines two food or drive related items in an unusual way. I found some unique sets over at Manly Man Co. when I had been looking for my other half, and I had to smile at the ‘Fathers Day Flowers’. These are definitely not your traditional flowers, more so beef jerky rose bouquets with beer mugs! They even do bacon roses with dark chocolate gift sets, which are made up of one dozen stemless, old-fashioned maple candied bacon roses in a bouquet, dipped in dark chocolate. to form a dessert cup bottom. This then slides out of a custom-branded box, making it a lovely fun foodie gift! Who knew beef or elk jerky could make such a unique gift? Click here for elk jerky for sale if this intrigues you, too.
I found Manly Man Co a really handy site that hits the nail on the head for unique gifts for men. Believe it or not, the idea came to the owner when he bought a bouquet of flowers for his wife and thought, there should be a gift like this for men. And then the beef jerky bouquet was formed, and the site now offers man bouquets ideal for gifts with a difference!

Another idea if to think about your mans favourite restaurant for cooking classes – they might even host cooking classes on Zoom too!
7. Watch
Men’s jewellery is always an area that never quite ‘makes it’, but the watch is an exception. A high quality, chic watch, such as those from Authentic Watches, is the one piece that will always be in style. Pocket watches are also great for gifts as they are fancy statement pieces. A beautiful watch makes for a keepsake gift too, and you can even opt for engraving if it’s for a super special occasion, like a wedding for a milestone birthday.
You don’t have to spend a huge amount, although some of the more designer watches do come with the ‘name’ which can make them appear as a more exquisite gift to cherish. Just make sure it suits his personality, you can always go for a quality casio if they are a little bit retro too!
8. Travel Accessories
Men tend to own a couple of accessories, from wallets to shoes and caps. However, for the man who has to go away lots for work or just enjoys travelling on weekends or for couple/family holidays, he may appreciate some luxury luggage.
Be it an overnight bag that is sturdy to hold and looks the part, or a modern and professional looking wheelie suitcase, your man can’t grumble at premium travel luggage. You could even add a few travel essentials in it, like AirPods, a new cap, or passport cover. If they’re into classy stuff, you can get some grooming gears from a UK cut throat razor supplier for one to remind them to take care of themselves
9. Record Player
Sometimes men are quite happy to break off from the TV and enjoy some music instead. Modern music players might not understand the magic of a record player, but those who appreciate music and older eras of artists totally do!
There’s also something nostalgic and whimsical about a vinyl record player on display in the home. Plus, a selection of carefully picked out vinyl’s to go with the record player makes a lovely additional touch to the gift…
10. Headphones
And last but not least, a pair of headphones which have excellent sound quality. After all, headphones have now become a bit of a fashion and style statement, especially with the likes of Bose and Dre beats.
Remember, each of the above ideas could create an idea for a gift if you don’t think the men in your life with completely appreciate them. Most can be adapted or lead to similar ideas. But remember, the key is to look for something with a timeless quality …
