When Mothers Day comes around, a lot of people get a little stuck for gift ideas. Mother’s Day is celebrated far and wide, and isn’t a day just for ‘mums’ – it’s a day for spreading love to those Mother figures in our lives. Whether a Mum, a Mum-in-Law, Stepmum, Aunty, Sister or family friend, Mothers Day is such a special day to celebrate the Mother figures we love. And that being said, personal gifts are always that extra bit more thoughtful and loved!
Since having Olivia and becoming a Mum myself, I’ve learnt just how precious photo gifts can be. I honestly feel that photo gifts are worth 1000 words for Mother’s Day. They act as something personal, with thought and care going into the gift. They act as memories, and timeless, keepsake gifts. But overall, they act as a special moment between the two of you – where you can look through the photo gifts with fond memories, and feel allllll those feels!
This year, I have created a photobook which captures memories from Olivia’s first birthday, which I created with CEWE PHOTOBOOK. I love getting photos printed, but I wanted to create more of a keepsake book that can capture all the lovely memories and celebrations of Olivia turning one, to thank my Mum for all the help that she gives for me and Olivia. The CEWE PHOTOBOOK gift is a gift from both myself and Olivia, one for my Mum to cherish and keep.

The process of creating the CEWE PHOTOBOOK was super easy. I always think I haven’t got time or creativity to make something myself, but honestly the online step by step process to create the book from start to finish is pretty much fool proof, and the final result is just beautiful and very professional.
My Mum is such a special lady, she has always been there for me through every step of my life, and since having Olivia, she loves and looks after Olivia as much as she does me. We’re both truly lucky to have her, therefore when it came to thinking of a gift idea for her this year, I didn’t want to just rattle around the same old ideas. I mean, don’t get me wrong, she loves a gin and a nice fancy bottle would not go un-appreciated, however, there’s something more precious about a photo gift that has captured memories and can become a keepsake gift.
I logged onto the Boots Photo website and saw that the list of personalised photo gifts are very extensive – there is everything from photobooks to magnets, prints with holders, mugs, wall art, calendars and canvases available. I decided to get a nice photo of both myself and Olivia framed for my Mum to keep – as she then has the option to display it on the wall or on a side table somewhere, and it means there’s a high quality print in a lovely frame so she doesn’t need to then search for a suitable frame to fit etc.

The framed print along with the CEWE PHOTOBOOK I created make a wonderful gift ideas for mothers day, and I must admit I really enjoyed giving myself some time out to go online and start building the CEWE PHOTOBOOK. It’s like taking a trip down memory lane looking through all the special photos, creating what feels like a storybook of happy times!
When you start the process of building your own CEWE PHOTOBOOK, you’ll see there is a variety if book sizes to pick from. I went for the square book format, and decided to fill each page with one large photo. There are so many different options for book sizes and page layouts, where you can put multiple images of each page. However I wanted to use our cake smash photos which are really good quality as large images, which influenced my decision to have each page dedicated to a full size image.

I will be wrapping up both the CEWE PHOTOBOOK – which I managed to put a little personalised message on the front – and the framed print to give to my Mum for Mothers Day as a gift from both Olivia and I. My Mum is both a Mum to me and a Grandma to Olivia, so I feel super happy that these gifts are perfect for joint presents!
The beauty of photo gifts is that they are widely appreciated by any type of Mother figure, as they give you the full creative reign to personalise the photobook as you please. It’s your photos, your journey, and your story that can be displayed in the book, making it one of the best gift options possible this upcoming Mothers Day.
