Now I don’t know about you, but there’s nothing more I love about the Winter season and Christmas run up than living in my comfy loungewear and pyjamas. Every year, I tend to have little boot style slippers, or fluffy mules for my feet, but this year I was introduced to a fabulous small business which made me realise I have not properly experienced winter indoor footwear yet. I mean, handmade sheepskin slippers with pretty embroidery? I never knew I could obsess over slippers this much!
Let’s take it right back to discovering the company. Rather than me choosing to shop from a big ‘giant’ in the footwear business, I feel super grateful to have discovered ONAIE.
ONAIE is a female founded, London-based independent online slippers shop, created by two sisters, Eve and Justine. Paying homage to their heritage, they created the brand which boasts ONAIE’S handmade product range, all lovingly made by a team of highly skilled craftswomen in the Polish Highlands. As it’s important in today’s day and age, ONAIE products are ethically manufactured, with the brand working side by side with its suppliers to ensure ongoing ethical, social and environmental compliance.
For me, it’s really lovely to shop from brands that care about the products they are producing, and who keep sustainability at the heart of the brand.

The slippers I now own from ONAIE are the Snow Sheepskin Slippers, a gorgeous pair of slip one slippers with detailed embroidery and fluffy sheepskin surrounding the ankles. It was actually SO hard to pick a pair from their lovely website as they have so many fabulous slipper styles, depending on what you want.
I knew that this Christmas I wanted a more closed pair, without any toe gaps, and I also wanted to move away from the boot style. These arrived and I am comletely smitten with them. Now it is literally any excuse to wear my slippers!
When browsing the ONAIE website, each pair of ONAIE slippers is completely unique. The styles are all made by hand using the best quality materials available, therefore each pair differs slightly for a one-of-a-kind finish. From researching on the brand website, they say it takes our skilled craftspeople about an hour to make each pair of those cosy slippers. Which is really nice to know the level of care that goes into them.
The composition of the pair I have is listed here, taken from the site so that you know exactly what they are made from: Leather for the soles of natural cow split leather lined with natural wool from sheep’s fleece, fur and leather on the sides, also of natural sheepskin.

I recently shared my new winter slippers on my Instagram account, and had a few people tell me they had seen a similar style to these on a large retailer website, but they wasn’t quite as detailed and without the lovely brand story behind them. And, these are actually more affordable! The ONAIE Snow Sheepskin Slippers retail at £39, and you can also get other colour options too. I’m a huge fan of creams, beiges and whites, therefore opted for the snow colour.
To have an explore of this pair, take a look at the ONAIE Sheepskin Slippers here.
They do have some lovely colourway options of this popular style, I was tempted towards the midnight ash pair, which are a darker version. You never know, when these ones get dirty I might upgrade to a darker pair, but not now I’m enjoying the fresh shade.

If you’re a fan of supporting female ran businesses who care about running an ethically aligned business, I have a feeling you’ll love browsing the ONAIE website and exploring the snuggly, adorable array of handmade slippers. You’ll notice that all the product photography is simply stunning – you can see how much effort and creativity has gone into building this brand, and I expect huge things for ONAIE!
