Even after working as a skincare and beauty writer for all these years, there are some hidden gem brands and services out there that I still never would have known about or uncovered. I’m usually quite hot on it, and ‘on the ball’ with finding the new and unique beauty finds out there, but I’m afraid I had no idea that Face the Future existed, and even more so, their All About You Skincare Box.
I’ve been so happy this past month discovering the Face The Futures site and exploring a fabulous limited edition box, that I thought I’d give myself a couple of weeks to explore and experiment, and if I loved, I would share. So that is exactly what I’m doing today.

Face The Future have launched their first limited-edition skincare box, worth over £400, in time for Christmas this year, and I was lucky enough to try out the box which has actually been my first introduction to the company. Now before I go into it, I just want to point out that I am a huge fan of gift boxes and subscription boxes alike. I do enjoy the element of receiving a bundle of products carefully chosen together to make up a complimenting regime box, and I find the ones that are within one ‘category’ a little better. What I mean by that is although I love the element of mixed boxes, like lookfantastic, Glossybox and birchbox, the boxes that are tailored to one type of treatment, i.e a skincare box, a haircare box or a makeup box, allows you to know exactly what you are getting in terms of ‘treatments’.

So what product is my favourite from this box?
OSKIA Super 16 Pro-Collagen Serum 30ml
Although I am over the moon to properly try out cult brand Votary (the cleansing cloth the cleansing oil comes with is just so lovely too!), my absolute favourite product from the All About You Skincare Box has to be the OSKIA Super 16 Pro-Collagen Serum, which is also available at Face the Future Advanced Skin Clinic and Online Shop.
It’s a fabulous serum that I’ve been using after my cleansing step, and before my night cream or moisturiser, which goes on smoothly and feels rather silky when applying. In a nutshell, it’s a powerful anti-ageing serum formulated with a blend of 16 super nutrients and bio-actives to target multiple ageing concerns. For me, I have fine lines around the mouth and eye area, so I do try to be strict with an anti-aging regime.
I always swear by retinol, but when I was pregnant I used natures equivalent which is bakuchiol. It works the same way as retinol, helping to reverse the visible signs of ageing, while preventing future damage from developing and improving problematic skin. Retinol can cause some sensitivity, especially if you haven’t used it much before. Luckily, my skin seems to react quite well to retinol, but it’s nice to use a more gentle version.
The serum is infused with extracts of organic cactus and crithmum seaweed to detoxify and de-stress skin. Next up is my very favourite key ingredients – hyaluronic acid to deeply hydrate, plump and smooth. The addition of vitamins C & E provide powerful antioxidant protection against environmental aggressors and free radicals.

Final Thoughts
The All About You Skincare Box really impressed me, as I feel it’s a really well thought through selection of advanced skincare, bundled together in a box ready to gift to both skin enthusiasts and those without any skincare knowledge. The mix is also what I’d call perfectly balanced – you have the natural properties from Weleda, to a collagen supplement that boosts beauty from the inside from collagen brand Protocol.
Like most boxes, it presents you with a saving, but this one has a whopping saving of over 60%, so you really do get bang for your buck. Again, as mentioned earlier, if you’re simply looking to switch up your skincare regime and try something new, it’s spot on.
