For those who have followed me on Instagram where I regularly share my skin stories and treatments, you’ll know that I have been having skin peels at a skincare clinic, in which IMAGE Skincare products are used. OK, so the reason I got super excited about this particular skincare set from IMAGE is because two of the products were two that I used religiously when I was working on improving my dull and pigmented skin, and I honestly swear by the two working in tandem. These are the ILUMA Intense Brightening Serum and the PREVENTION Daily Matte Moisturiser with SPF 32. I’ll share a little bit of info below on them, but just a personal opinion from someone who has used these products and now regularly buys, these two have made visible changes for my skin.
Firstly, the ILUMA Intense Brightening Serum is designed to brighten and lighten areas of discolouration. I found you have to really stick to using it to get the full benefits – twice a day for a couple of weeks was enough for me to first realise that yes, the sluggish, light red and brown areas of skin were definitely lifting. Overall the appearance of redness really did improve when I was using this product in a strict regime, so personally I do recommend it, as a lighter alternative to some of the harsher acid based products I’ve seen.

The second product in the brightening essentials box that I have great experience from using is the PREVENTION+ daily matte moisturiser. Now the first thing I’ll say about this is that the texture is just incredible – it feels so luxurious and creamy on the skin, yet absorbs quickly and blends into the skin leaving what I like to call a light ‘gloss’ on the skin. I worried at first it may leave a white chalky finish with it being thick and of course being SPF 32, but no signs!
Here’s some info on the product below, which I personally feel is a truly great daily moisturiser for protection. I did have a skin peel lately that was too strong for my skin, so since then, high SPF daily is vital for me, so I turned to this one yet again and remembered all the reasons why I loved this so much in the first place! It also has a subtle light scent which is just uplifting and divine.
PREVENTION + Daily Matte Moisturiser

I use this just once a day, as I feel you can use a product during the evenings, like the brightening serum, or any other serum or night cream that provides cell turnover to encourage the fading of marks and pigmentation.
The third product in the box is a facial cleanser which I have more recently started to use, now that I have stripped back some of my skincare and was looking for a gentle yet effective cleanser to use twice a day. I find it important to use one that isn’t too harsh on the skin, but effective enough to clear out the pores and deep cleanse with every wash – especially when working to a dull, pigmented skincare regime.

How to use
