Liberex Blackhead Remover Vacuum: Amazon Review

When it comes to skincare and beauty trends, there is one area that is booming: the rise of professional at-home devices. These were getting big before lockdown began, with women being more aware of looking after their skin and achieving results at home.

Salon treatments can be expensive, but we all love the results they give. Yet with more and more advanced tech out there, it’s becoming possible to bring the salon experience to our homes.

Two of the main concerns people tend to have with their complexions are oily, clogged skin, and dry, dull skin. With oily and clogged skin, devices and skincare packed with acids can work wonders. But with dry, it’s best to keep it simple, as per the infographic below (Photo Created by BIALife).

If you look to YouTube for beauty trends, you’ll find that over on there it’s all about removing blackheads and testing out trendy skincare gadgets. One of the latest I’ve seen everywhere is Pore and Blackhead Vacuums—which are exactly what they sound like.

This led me to explore the Liberex Blackhead Remover Vacuum device, and give it a little review over on here. The device is from Amazon and actually isn’t expensive at all – it retails at just £19.99 and includes the use of red and blue light therapy.

Firstly, I just wanted to add that blackhead and pore vacuums certainly can be an effective tool in helping to regularly clear pore congestion, and when used often, can keep the blackheads away and pores clear. However, pores will naturally clog up again as it’s a natural process and can’t be avoided. Therefore, this device is “a temporary solution” and should be used occasionally in conjunction with a proper skin care routine. The more you use it, you’ll keep those pores and complexion clearer, but you should make sure you deep cleanse and look after your skin with quality products and a great diet, too.

Unlike skincare products that work on the exterior of the skin, this device works to exfoliate or dissolve the sebum, dead skin, dirt, and other impurities by physically extracting the gunk right before your eyes. Before using the blackhead vacuum, I always go to gently steam my skin either with a warm, damp towel or in the shower. Then, I feel ready to use the device. I place the blackhead vacuum on an area of the skin with congested pores— mainly my nose, for example – and I start on the lowest setting.

Pros of the Liberex Blackhead Remover

I’ve been giving this a go for 4 weeks, since upping my skincare game as we entered the third lockdown and salons are once again closed. I found that it kind of gives a microdermabrasion effect when used on my nose and upper cheeks – where I tend to get the most blackheads, whiteheads and open pores. This means I’m super happy with the smoother and clearer complexion, although I have been keeping mega on top of it to keep up the results.

Here’s a few points which impressed me about the device:

• It’s versatile – yep, it’s main use it to clear blackheads, but it actually can be used to bust spots, clear up marks and scars, and deeply exfoliate so products work better.

• 4 Replaceable Suction Probes – as it acts similar to a microdermabrasion vacuum device but perhaps a little less intense, it comes equipped with 4 suction heads. First you have a Diamond microcrystalline suction head which is encouraged to use on performed to shallow acne scars. dead skin and to enhance skin penetration. Then, the oval suction head is suitable for use on the out side of the nostrils and around the eyes and mouth – an ideal one to use on your nose for blackheads and whiteheads. There us also a medium suction which can be used for anywhere in your face and body. Lastly, there is a Light therapy head which is ideal for pesky spots and acne.
  
• Special Light Therapy – This special head includes two light therapy heads. The first is blue light therapy, which uses light in the blue wavelength range to work to fight any acne on the skin. Then, the red light therapy is more of a healing light treatment, which can help the skin, specific problem areas and cells to heal. The red light is always ideal to use after a facial treatment, like more of a microdermabrasion or blue light treatment, as it can soothe the skin.
  
• 5 Intensity Level – The adjustable intensity levels are designed to be used on a variety of skin types and meets all skin needs. The 20%~40% level is for sensitive and thinner skin, or to be able to work on dead skin and acne prone skin. There is also a 60%~80% level, which is suitable for all skin types, effectively working to extract the deep into the pores to remove dirt, grime, oil and blemish causing properties. There’s also a 99% level which is better for acceptable for oilier skin that can be quite stubborn clean stubborn. This is the best one to use if you have deep rooted blackheads or pores that need an intense clean.

Light Therapy: Liberex Blue & Red Light Blackhead Remover

Red light therapy (RLT)

The Red light therapy (RLT) (the red wavelength range 620-630 nm) is a treatment that has been designed to help heal the skin. As well as the skin, it’s been said to help ease and heal muscle tissue too. The red light used on this Liberex device exposes your skin to low levels of red, near-infrared light. A part of your cells called mitochondria, sometimes called the “power generators” of your skin cells, soak up and absorb the red light, producing more energy. This helps the skin cells repair themselves and become healthier, which is great if you have any redness, uneven textures, breakouts or dull areas.

Blue light therapy (BLT)

Blue light therapy uses light in the blue wavelength range of 450-460 nm to kill any bacteria. It’s ideally used to treat acne and spot prone areas of the face and body, as the Blue Light activates natural chemicals found in the bacteria which cause redness in acne.

When stimulated, these chemicals work to destroy the bacteria. This helps to reduce acne breakouts, when used in conjunction with a solid skin care regime.

I’ve found from using this that the ‘muck’ that comes out from using the device is quite phenomenal – I was pleasantly surprised! You do have to keep your skin clean ‘properly’ and use quality products and a strict regime if you want to keep the skin looking fresh, healthy and clear.
