So this is a brand that is super new to me, but when the package of Volition products arrived on my desk, I knew I was going to love them and there was a reason for their success so far. I did a little bit of research and found that following a successful US and Canadian launch into Sephora, Volition has launched here in the UK on Cult Beauty due to being a consumer-driven beauty brand giving skincare enthusiasts effective ingredients, and products which are safe.
Cleaner beauty is key for the future – it’s what beauty lovers are wanting to see more of. This along with 100% clarity on ingredients, products which are not complicated, beautiful packaging and quality results.
When researching the brand, I found that Volition selectively solicit ideas from consumers and then competitively evaluate those ideas within the beauty industry. This transforms into skincare ideas that are safe, unique and feasible, which are then put to a public vote and those that secure enough votes are put into production. So pretty much 100% led by the people that matter the most – potential customers!

If you are looking for a beauty and skincare brand to gift this Christmas, whether as stocking fillers, a main presents, or even beauty buys for yourself, it’s worth reading up on this brand. The fact it’s new to the UK and just started to make some waves at Cult Beauty is a great reason in itself, especially for those looking for new and exciting skincare brands to explore.
I’ve been trying out this brand throughout the end of october and across November, as you guys know I always like to give skincare products a good try before making a comment. When the brands give me something to smile about, they appear on this blog, and my Instagram page here too, if you fancy popping over!
So, I’m going to share some of my favourites from Volition, and highlight some of the key benefits I found and which I feel will make the loveliest Christmas gifts!

Volition Strawberry C Serum
Now I heard when this launched in the US, the Strawberry-C Brightening Serum sold out big time. It’s dubbed over there as the “ultimate brightening serum,” , and as the brand says, it is “packed with a high concentrate of strawberry-derived vitamin C for noticeable radiance, hydration, and even skin tone.” Everyone wants brighter, glowing skin, but if a serum can claim to hydrate, plump, help control excess oil, and minimise pores, redness and ease fine lines too, then most people are sold.
I certainly was before I even started to try it. The packaging helps – have you seen how cute it looks? And premium! So cute and premium – a wining combination.
It’s £36 at Cult Beauty, so I’d class it as mid-high, yet for everything it helps with, I’d say it’s brilliant value. You don’t have to worry about moisturising or stress about primers, night creams, etc when you use this, because it’s actually a powerhouse for bringing a multitude of goodness to your skin all at once. I mean, I used this during the day and then used a night cream in the evening, but I felt like this was working it’s magic alone.
I put it down to the mix of Vitamin C rich ingredients, like Kakadu plum, and that hero hyaluronic acid which helps to hydrate. Then you have soothing ingredients which are great for me due to having redness and breakouts, like cucumber extract. I have red marks from acne, occasional breakouts and pretty bad pigmentation, so anything that is going to brighten the dullness this brings, adds hydration, brightens and keeps he redness at bay is a hero for me!

Volition Orangesicle Balancing Daily Cleanser
For those who follow my skin situation on Instagram, you’ll know I had to give up Salicylic Acid and Glycolic Acid when I got pregnant in April. I relied on these ingredients in my daily cleansers, so it was nice to be introduced to this more gentle daily cleanser which is much kinder.
It’s like a zesty, refreshing facial wash to cleanse and boost dry, dull skin. The Orangesicle Balancing Daily Cleanser is priced at £28 and you get a large sized, pretty looking bottle which looks sleek on my bathroom shelf (always important as I’m a sucker for packaging!). If you’re looking for a wake-me-up cleanser with a juicy boost of prebiotics and coconut extracts, that purifies, refreshes and cleanses, then this is a great choice for you, no matter what your skin type. I say this because it’s gentle and helps to balance both dry and oily skin, so I feel it’s a pretty much all-rounder one.
The prebiotics that are loaded into this boost the complexion with good bacteria, helping to provide that balanced, smooth and even complexion appearance. The coconut extracts it has work on targeting the pores and melting away makeup, dirt and grime, while softening the skin.
It’s not one I would say is going to target or clear up troublesome acne, but if you have dry/oily skin, clogged pores, a dull complexion and skin that could do with a touch of brightening, it’s a winner!

Hibiscus Unspottable Correcting Oil
Now this one stood out to me as a bit of a hero product upon the Volition line up. If you are like me, with pigmentation, dry patches, acne marks and breakouts, then I feel you’re gonna love this one. I genuinely LOVE a good oil too – some people fear oil especially if they have oily skin, yet oil combats oil – always remember that!
This wonderful oil will increase the luminosity of your skin, or it did with me, anyway! However it’s main wow factor for me was that the hibiscus-infused oil works to even out the hyperpigmentation and discolouration, so if you have patches of pigment, it kind of fuses it and fades it a little. It’s not a miracle product that’s going to completely erase it (not when it is as bad as mine is, anyway!) but it certainly helps to even out the tone and ease the appearance.
In this oil you get a concoction of acids and antioxidants, making up a formula which soothes and brightens your skin as it diminishes dark spots. It’s the exfoliating acids and hibiscus oil which I think work to shed away at the dull spots and brighten and fade them, along with the infusion of liquorice root.
It depends on the type of pigmentation you have as to how well I reckon this will work for you. Mine is formed from acne marks and sun damage as the main two. But I reckon those who have pigmentation from age spots too will notice just as brilliant results!

You can explore the entire range over at Cult Beauty – but do have a little gander online to see some of the brilliant reviews on this brand! I genuinely enjoyed doing my research on this brand before even trying them out…
