Lifestyle: First Week of September

September… I remember when it used to mean so much. Starting school, going uniform shopping, moving back into halls at uni, making new friends, having a new school bag/coat/pair of shoes! These days, September just blends into every other month, when your in your mid twenties it’s hardly the exciting landmark month of the year anymore. Anyway, to cheer myself up from feeling like I miss out on that September excitment, I thought I’d round up my first week of September with what’s been happening!…

Where I Have Been…
For those who don’t know, I work in PR for Jon Richard, a jewellery & accessory company that I’ve mentioned numerous times on the blog. We retail high fashion jewellery across department stores and online, also selling luxury bridal accessories and designer jewellery too. So it’s important I visit the press regularly to let them see new collections and take as many samples as they like for photoshoots, as well as distributing out our lookbooks. So I had a very busy day meeting with all the lovely fashion writers and stylists at all the top magazines – Glamour, More, Company to name a few! It’s always so nice to catch up with all the fashion journalists I spend so long communicating with via email and phone! Here’s a little snap of the top tray in my suitcase, jam packed with sparkling jewels, and my fave item at the moment online at Jon Richard!

What Have I Seen…
My last press visit in London this week was with Prima magazine, which is based just around the corner from Oxford Street and Argyll Street, so I cut through the streets to pass on ten minutes before my taxi was due. I stopped in my tracks at the visually stunning Oasis store on Argyll Street, it was merchandised to a pretty retro style and had this fabulous set-up at the front of the store! Look at all the tartan print and old suitcases, very quirky!

What I Have Been Working On…
This week, I’ve had two brands to be keeping busy with in my spare time. The first on is Grazia, where I submitted my Style Icon feature for their website. Grazia gathered together a number of bloggers and asked us to take a snap of an outfit inspired by out fave celebs of today’s world. So who did I chose? No other than Ms Lauren Conrad, one of ny favourite fashion ladies to date! She is always understated and non-showy but looks fabulous everyday. She puts outfits together effortlessly and never steps out look anything less than perfect. I’ve also been working with BrandAlley, where I take over their blog next week! When my post goes live, you’ll see me waffling on about my staple Autumn picks and how to easily update your wardrobe for the transition from Summer to Winter. I’ll post the link when it’s on!

What I Have Been Listening To:
Jessie Ware! I love her latest song ‘Wildest Moments’ and can’t stop watching her ‘Black Cab Sessions’ over on youtube. I’ve been listening to this live version for the last few weeks and I’m still not bored of it. Pure talent! Have a listen and see what you think.

Have a lovely Friday! x
