First look at A/W 2011 Trends

I know we’re only in Autumn/Winter 2010, so fast forwarding to trends in 12 months might be a bit hasty, but I managed to gather some info about A/W 2011 fashions, and there’s no point keeping it to myself!

In a few months, Fall A/W 2011 will start to hit the catwalks of New York and Paris, so I managed to find a sneak peek into the colour schemes from trend forecasting company Design Options. As Design Options see it, A/W 2011 will be broken up into five different major colour trends….

Nu Vogue: Avant-garde and prevailing chic. Bronze tones of state of the art style flirt endlessly with bold confidence. Olive yarns mixed with shades of pale goldenrod give knits an alluring appeal.

Urban Romance: A tale of metropolitan melodrama. Moonlight blue and silver, grey shades of cultural diversity and cosmopolitan give textured stitching and equilibrium and charm. Memoirs of city nostalgia.

Edge of Night: Beyond the limits of darkness. Mysterious shades of forest green and plum amplify sequined edges and ruffled chiffon. Deep violet shades. Silver finishes give luxuriant motifs.

Fill Seeker:

Luscious shades of hot pink intertwine within bastite and silken silhouettes. Burnt orange tones of superfluity fuse on a canvas of knit.

spellbound and romantically sensual. Greenish yellow tones of nostalgia fuse with bold saturation of aquamarine and dark sienna. Copper flecks with soft patterns of royal blue velvet.
