Four Favourite Things

This week has been ridiculously busy as usual, so there’s been a number of products and ‘things’ that I have been using this week to make life on the go that little bit nicer! So just a quick post to highlight to you four of my favourite things of this week….

Scent of the Week – Alien by Thiery Mugler
My parents came back from a cruise at the weekend, so when I picked them up from the station, they presented me with this lovely bottle of Alien by Thierry Mugler perfume. I have smelt a sample before and remember thinking it was quite an unusual scent, but smelling it again this time around, it doesn’t really have anything unusual about it! So I  don’t know what I was smelling before!  I love my strong scented perfumes, so this one is made for me. It’s rich, fruity yet with a hint of muskiness, in a re-fillable plum purple bottle. I really love it and would reccomend smelling it next time your in a department store. I’m also wearing Ellie Saab, but one of my all time favourite’s is Givenchy Hot Couture. I can’t get enough of perfume!

Skincare Product of the Week – Soothing Apricot Toner by Elemis
After numerous recommendations, I now religiously use Elemis Tri-Enzyme Resurfacing Facial Wash. Got to be hones with you all, I haven’t yet noticed anything spectacular but I have only been using it for 4 weeks.  I’m going to continue using it as I have heard so many good reviews, and it hasn’t exactly done my skin any harm, I’m just hoping it’s benefits come slowly but successfully! On the plus side, I purchased Elemis Soothing Apricot Toner at the same time, and I really love this product! I don’t think my skin type depends on using toners, as using too many products at once can cause redness and irritation, but I love removing my make-up, then using a wash, then spritxing this toner onto a cotton pad and removing the last traces of make-up around my neck and hairline. It calms down any redness from washing and I go to bed knowing my skin is 100% make-up free. Really good for busy ladies like myself who get so tired by the end of the day that you just want an easy product to use that ensures all last make-up traces disappear. Oh and it smells delicious!

Garment of the Week – Topshop Hooded Top, £22
I’m always quite dressy during the day and for after work events, so I love nothing more than coming home, jumping in the shower, and putting on my long PJ bottoms and a hoody. The problem I had is that none of my hoodies were any good – I had always been a bit of a cheapskate before, buying £10 Primark hoodies which start bobbling and fraying in the wash, and have hard zip lines which scratch my skin. So I popped into Topshop and purchased a khaki/grey marl-ish colour hoodie for £22, and it is so soft and snuggly! I bought a size 6 as they looked quite big and I wanted a nice fitted one that I can wear when I pop out to, and this one looks like a good fit (but not tight at all!). Now I look forward to snuggling on the sofa all casual!

Novelty of the Week – Photobooth Fun!
OK this is a slight lie, as this isn’t something I saw this week. more like a fortnight ago. I had my first wedding photobooth experience at my cousins wedding, and it was so much fun. They had all the cool props like wigs, moustaches, hats and glasses – I had a right laugh dressing up and posing for the camera! I recomnmend these for anyone reading this who is planning a wedding! It certainly entertains the kids too. I’m the one being silly in the blonde curly wig. Oh how we laughed!…

Hope you have all had a nice week too!
